Men In Black 3 -
Apparently the ShoWest Sony presentation just ended out in Las Vegas with the announcement that the studio would be returning to the very successful Men in Black franchise for a thirdinstallment to hit theaters in 2011. According to reports at Colliderand JoBlo, there were no furtherannouncements as far as cast and release date, however Sony probably wouldn't launch another Men in Black film without at least Will Smith's participation. Will Tommy Lee Jonesreprise his role, too, or will Smith get himself a new partner in crime? Will it go 3D? IMAX? Sadly, these questions were not answered. Aside from Men inBlack 3, Sony also confirmed that they're working on Spider-Man 4 and Ghostbusters 3, which is news we've already known forquite some time now.

The Men in Black stuff is brand new, though, and if they do hold it for summer 2011, they'll be going up against some mega competition fromAvengers, Harry Potter and Spider-Man. Unfortunately, Sony did not talk more about the next Spider-Man sequel, either revealing itscast or villains or production schedule. All we have regarding Spidey right now is its May 6, 2011 release date.

Hancock 2 -

According to Will Smith Hancock 2 is a go, repeat, Hancock 2 is a go. He says that we'll definitely be seeing a sequel to the film within the next fewyears.

You may find that surprising, but it's happening according to the man himself, and he should know. That does raise the question of if he managed to gethis own way for the sequel or not.

Back in February we heard thatWill Smith was thinking about the sequel for Hancock, but there were some rather large requirements involved.

The rumour was that he didn't like the finished film and he would do a sequel only if he got the control to rework the story and almost redo the storyforgetting the first one.Well it's fair to say that Will Smith does carry that sort of weight with studios and really could demand such things from them, and if that rumour was true it would now be fair to say he got his way as JoBlo talked to the man himself and received a few interesting answers.Smith revealed they'll definitely be doing a sequel andthat there were a lot of unexplored characters in the Hancock universe that would be perfect for a sequel.

Alien Vs Predator 3- An anonymous source over at 20th Century Fox got in touch with us over the weekend to relay the news another Aliens vs. Predator sequel isa 'certainty' at this point. If you recall, the brothers Strause - who helmed the Christmas release Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem - stated Fox was goingto take a 'wait-and-see' approach to a third chapter, furthermore, that the story would have to continue in space.

XXX- return of Xander Cage-Because no one asked for it……. Vin Diesel is returning to XXX! We get this strange scoop from our friends at the movieweb:
Columbia Pictures is in negotiations with producer Joe Roth to develop a new version of xXx, and plans to bring back Vin Diesel as star and Rob Cohen as director..

The third incarnation has a title, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, but no script. Diesel has agreed to return and so has Cohen, but talent deals won't be worked out until the studio pact is made. No word on when production will begin.

The Green Lantern- Warner Bros. and DC Comics' next big budget feature, the big-screen adaptation of "Green Lantern" will be made atFox Studios Australia in Sydney, according to the Hollywood Reporter. MartinCampbell ("Casino Royale") will be directing the comicbook's big screen adaptation, working from a script by Greg Berlanti andMichael Green. THR are also reporting that the estimated budget of the space-copcomic book film will be $150 million. Pre-production on "Green Lantern" is set to begin in July of 2009, and filming is scheduled to start inNovember. Warner Bros. are hoping to release the film in December of 2010. The Green Lantern is a DC Comics

Thor- In an interview with MTV News, Channing Tatum (GI Joe, Fighting) revealed that he was considered for the role of the title character in"Thor." That consideration went as far as meeting with director KennethBranagh to discuss the film, but apparently things didn't work out. "I think they're looking for someone more Nordic-looking,"said Tatum. Tatum wasn't the only one who had a meeting with Branagh. There have been sightings of several other actors publicly having a meal with thedirector. Actor Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood") was one of those actors and currently seems to be the favorite to get the part. Other namesrumored to be part of the movie are Josh Hartnett as villain Loki and Natalie Portman. "Thor" isscheduled to hit theaters on May 20th, 2011. Click here to read more about "Thor."

The Smurfs-Tentatively to be released in 2010, the Smurf Movie will feature 3D animation and live actors. The movie is currently in pre-production phase and isset to be the first of three.

Rumored to be in the film are John Lithgow and Julia Sweeny. Directing credit currently lists Colin Brady. The screenplay is by David Stem and David Weiss.Jordan Kerner is the film's producer. He is also an executive producer along with Paul Neesan.

Tekken- Kelly Wagner, casting director for the movie adaptation of the videogame "Tekken," told Sci Fi Wire that she sought actors who could legitimately fight and also act."One of the most frustrating things is when you're watching a movie, and it's so obvious that your actor's not doing the physicality,"said Wagner. The lead, Jon Foo, comes from Thai martial-arts cinema. Foo playsJin Kazama, the young fighter who could bring down the Tekken corporation. "We found him inThailand," Wagner said. "John Foo sent a tape in from Thailand that he had filmed of himself, and then we flew him out here for a screen test."For some of the supporting roles, fighting trumped acting, but Foo had to be a black belt in both. "We used a lot of real martial artists in that,"

Ghostbusters 3-
Dan Aykroyd has vowed to persuade Sigourney Weaver to sign on to the new Ghostbusters movie.

All of the other original castmembers from the cult 1980s films - including BillMurray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson - have all reportedly signed up for the sequel.

But it was feared Weaver - who starred in the first two films - would be unwilling to reprise her role as Dana Barrett.

And Aykroyd, who co-wrote and starred in the originals, is sure he will be able to bring Weaver back for the highly-anticipated third installment.

He tells MTV.com, "When we do the Ghostbusters 3 movie, hopefully, Sigourney will be in it. I knowwe'll make that happen."

But the comedian is determined not to give away too many details about the new film.

He adds, "There will be a whole new generation that has to be trained. They'll be lots of cadets, boys and girls, who'll be learning how to usethe psychotron, the accelerators and all the new stuff. And that whole new generation will be led by an individual who you'll all love when you meet himbut I'm not going to tell you anything yet. "

Ghostbusters 3 is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2011.

These all sound lame.

The Green Lantern, Thor, XXX, and probably Hancock 2 since I saw the first will probably all be seen..

I'm interested to see how this Thor movie will be handled. I was pleasantly surprised by Iron-Man. Thor has a lot more room for error though.

The Men in Black stuff is brand new, though, and if they do hold it for summer 2011, they'll be going up against some mega competition from Avengers, Harry Potter and Spider-Man.
very interesting...a spider man 4? i don't see them starting the franchise over because it's still a relatively new franchise, despitethe horrid third film. new cast perhaps? Spider Man 2 is only behind the Dark Knight as the greatest super hero movie ever.

so i'm the only one kinda interested in a Smurf movie???

MIB 3 is a big maybe...second wasn't that good that it left me wanting another...

sounds interesting still looking for info for the next batman movie. it seems like we may not see another installment until at least 2012, that too long....

MIB 3 will be a straight family flick now. I'm up in the air as far as Thor, GL, XXX, and some of the others go.

From what I hear Spider-Man 4 & 5 will be filmed at the same time. 4 having 2 villians most likely The Lizard & Kraven. The main cast will most likelycome back including director Sam Raimi. Aint much on 5 though it may just be that there broken up in to 2 parts like Kill Bill. Oh and there's gonna be aVenom movie, Topher won't be Eddie brock though.
