Any way of tracking where it was actually delivered to? Or is it r.I.p to the package?

That happened to me when I lived in Brooklyn. Tracked the package while I was at work. Came home expecting it to be on the doorstep. After asking my neighbors in the building I came up empty. Box mysteriously appeared a week later with half it's contents missing.

USPS tracking system is the worst.
I had a package saying it was delivered to another state and signed. 2 days later, the package showed up at my door step
Call you local Post Master. Tell them what happened, give them delivery number if you have it. They will do an investigation. I had a similar situation and my package "coincidentally" showed up within 2 days.
Find your local poster master:

Now they need a "Check ID Upon Delivery" option for shipping. I'd pay the extra just for assurance that some random won't be taking off with my stuff.
