Vacationing solo

Traveling alone...i don't get it? My favorite part of trips are ALWAYS the moments I have with the people I'm with. I guess it's because my 3 major trips (1 week to Panama City Beach, 1 week to Cabo San Lucas, and 10 day trip to Ireland/Amsterdam) were all with people I consider my best friends. I did a road trip across the US solo, and it was mad fun but only because I met up with friends in different states. The actual 'activities' I did solo, such as seeing the Carlsbad Taverns in New Mexico, was very entertaining but was a little lonely not having anyone to share that with. Personally, I think going as a group of 3 or 4 is the ideal amount, as that way you can always split up and do what is entertaining to you. Especially at night, don't get how you guys are in a foreign country and going to bars/clubs alone ALL the time? I've done it occasionally and it is fun, but without a 'home base' of someone doesn't it get lonely? What sort of itinerary you guys have when you are going by yourself?

I agree I like doing things like this with my close friends and fan. Nt seems to have alot of loners though.

i actually won the cruise via a raffel at my job. all i had 2 pay was airfare...chilled in san diego

 for a few nights, had a blast

The place is pretty freaking exotic, something out of Indian Jones movie. Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca and Tanjier. I also drove from Western Sahara all the way to Tanjier, which is practically not that far off from southern spain.





There are a bunch of boutique hotels, strong European influence. Could range from $40 to $140 for a decent spot.
EDIT:  I think you can actually drive down from Spain to Morocco (Using a boat to cross). Also Morocco is pretty damn big, although the transportation system (planes/trains/taxis) are not expensive, the trips tend to be super long.

I travelled Africa, Middle East, South Asia and Eastern Europe by myself for a total of 8 months. Had the time of my life and would do it again.

Good point. A wingman can be a good thing and a bad thing though. Depending on your friend and his knowledge on how to be a good wingman

Good point. A wingman can be a good thing and a bad thing though. Depending on your friend and his knowledge on how to be a good wingman

I wouldnt be too worried. If you live there youll eventually run into problems just cuz of the laws of probability, but realistically if youre smart about it nothing should happen while your there on vacation.

I lived in East Africa for 8 years and yeah things pop off, but you can usually tell ahead of time and its most of the time because your in some ##%%@$ situation to begin with. I got friends that grew up in Brazil and theyre shook to come with me to Ethiopia so I cant imagine it being all that bad.
