But I love my RZA, Dilla, and like someone already said what Timbo did for Bubba not only on Deliverance but also The Charm.  Other than that I would like to see 9th do well, I love Quick and Banks so that sucks.. Its not looking good for my man Tech, those Hi-Technology's were all amazing, and all Reflection Eternal

That was harder to choose than you'd think.

Called it.

Am i the only one that is offended that Mannie Fresh of all people is a #2 seed. Over Rick Rubin, Dilla, Just Blaze..pretty much the majority of this list is better than him.

Like I said previously, N*E*R*D is the deal breaker.  Tim can't really mess with that kind of sound...AT ALL.

The way the Neptunes went from making pop tracks for Justified to making extremely minimalistic and dark Hip-Hop/Rap beats for Hell Hath No Fury to making tracks for Seeing Sounds is absolutely RIDICULOUS (and everything else in between).

Exactly!
The Neptunes are unmatched I'm sorry...

Dont forget about them Britney tracks, No Doubt/Gwen Stefani, Phillys Most Wanted, NORE,  Kenna, Ashly Simspon, Backstreet Boys, Usher, Busta Rhymes, Beenie Man, Madonna, Jay-Z, Clipse

ETC ETC ETC.

Is anyone more diverse than that?

Organized Noize getting the nod over 9th Wonder?

Jake One>9th Wonder

Illmind>9th Wonder

Marco Polo>9th Wonder

Exile>9th Wonder

Organized Noize cultured a sound with Outkast that imo is timeless.

9th Wonder did what anyone with FL and a turntable could do. He had some hits, he had some head nodding tracks but theres no argument here.

Timbaland fool

Bump... Told ya 9th was going to upset Organized Noize.

They are now down to the sweet 16. Here are the matchups

Homegrown Sound

1) Dr. Dre
4) Prince Paul

3) Bomb Squad
2) Mannie Fresh

Soul Sample

1) Kanye West
5) Just Blaze

6) J Dilla
2) Pete Rock

Mass Appeal

1) Neptunes
4) Diddy & The Hitmen

2) Timbaland
3) Swizz Beats

Boom Bap

1) DJ Premier
4) Rick Rubin

2) RZA
11) Q Tip

Only real surprise was Q-Tip.

Kanye versus Just Blaze has to be the toughest matchup. Bomb Squad vs. Mannie Fresh is a also hard to pick.

1) Dr. Dre
4) Prince Paul

(wish PP could have lasted another round or two)

3) Bomb Squad
2) Mannie Fresh

Soul Sample

1) Kanye West
5) Just Blaze

(if this were up to me this could go either way but we all know how it will play out)

6) J Dilla
2) Pete Rock

(a lotta people gonna ride with Jay, im not mad at them)

Mass Appeal

1) Neptunes
4) Diddy & The Hitmen

(I still find it kinda funny that Neps are a 1 and Timbo is a 2, watch it work out though)

2) Timbaland
3) Swizz Beats

(Swizz shouldn't have made it out the first round)

Boom Bap

1) DJ Premier
4) Rick Rubin

2) RZA
11) Q Tip

(i was gonna give Tip the upset but looking back at all the classic projects RZA has had hands all over, i couldn't do it, i still think Tip is one of the most underrrated producers ever and definitely has show far more variety in his works than RZA)

The all-time best producer ever is probably DJ Premier, he's crazy with his samples (Nas Is Like, jesus...). Closely followed by Dr. Dre, who had a really great run for a long time, pretty much defined what a West-Coast beat should sound like.

I don't think anyone else is even really in the equation for the top spot like those two are, but whatever.
