From what I understand, the phone will display any content that is in 3D in 3D.....and any 2D content in 2D.
You basically have no control over it. (like I said, as far as I understand)

The toggle switch is for the camera only to go back and forth from shooting in 2D/3D.

Anybody here use an unlocked T-Mobile phone on AT&T's network or vice versa? Are there any disadvantages to it?

Is there anyway you can get access to the 3G network? Or no?

OnLive likely to bring cloud-based console gaming to HTC EVO

This guest article was written by Nick Hahn.

Imagine this: you’re sitting at the park, playing the full console version of Assassin's Creed on your HTC EVO View 4G with a wireless game controller, all over Sprint's 4G network. Later, back at home, you wirelessly connect your EVO 3D to your TV using DLNA and pick up the same game session right where you left off.

It's what we all know Wesley Crusher was doing when not saving the Enterprise or shacking up with Ashley Judd.

And now you can do it too. The cloud-based gaming, that is. Making this all possible is OnLive, a service that renders the game you're playing on a remote server, then streams the video output device of your choice, including the EVO 4G, EVO 3D, and EVO View 4G. See for yourself below.

The other big news here is support for OnLive's slick wireless controller.

This solves the biggest issues of gaming on modern phones and tablets: no real buttons. As gamers know, a tactile set of buttons under your fingers is critical to being in control of these action-packed games. Touchscreens just don't cut it. OnLive is yet to share how this controller actually talks to our EVOs, but said it's not via Bluetooth.

Currently, Onlive has only officially stated support for the EVO View 4G’s sibling, the HTC Flyer, and some Vizio TVs. But they have big plans to get this service on anything with an internet connection and a screen. And with it already being shown off on the EVO 4G and Flyer earlier this year, it’s only a matter of time until all us EVO fanboys/girls are fragg’n some newbs in Unreal Tournament at the beach.

Don’t forget the sunblock.
