^what happened with your Note Mamba?

the battery life on my Note 4 has gotten noticeably a lot worse since the Lollipop update
mean.gif

anyone got anything i can do to help it?
Screen doesn't work. Thought it was the battery but I switched put my gf's battery and it still didn't come on. Only the led in the corner and the backlights at the bottom were functioning and it kept restarting on it's own but never actually turned on. Had to be some kind of hardware issue, hopefully I can get my stuff off there but I may be out of luck since the cpu isn't even recognizing it either.

Yea to clarify i meant the note 4 is god like battery on KIT KAat haha i said lolli by accident. Im on VZW, aint eem been rolled out yet. When it does i wont be updating until the kinks are fixed. I could get two days of moderate use off one charge now if i wanted to.

Yeah agree. There isn't anything lollipop does that I want and it's causing horrible things for s5s. I'm good.

I could keep this phone the full 3 years. Hell it even took a swim and is still going strong.

Not a day after I talked about using my phone without a case... I dropped it on hard tile

Yeah, I'm glad I had a case on it.

I want the GOLD S6 edge... i wanna pre-order but i also wanna read/watch some real world review first. Im using Nexus 5 right now and its still working just fine.

thinking that i got an available upgrade, im itching to upgrade to the sexy s6 edge!

FYI: slickdeals got some S6 & S6 Edge case for cheap. I got $1 spigen case and $3 caseology case...I dont even know if im getting the s6:{

Haven't ever used a case on any phone. Not a fan of the way they feel or make your phone look.

Best Buy gave me a free Samsung flip cover for my Note 4 but i rarely ever use it. Just prefer a naked phone

I'm definitely not doing to lollipop. Everyone whos on it says the battery life got worse and I wont be able to use xposed. NOPE

Does Clean Master actually do anything for your phone or is it all placebo?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&hl=en
It has its uses. If you're rooted, you can set apps to prevent from auto-starting on boot, clean phone/app cache, SD card ish, etc. Downside is the amount of notifications it send you to clean/optimize your  phone (but you can turn them all off, so.) What you need to use Xposed for, fam? Rootcloak?

I'm probably the most pointless Xposed user of all time but it gives me stuff I want.

-Wanam Xposed so I can have Center Clock

-YouTube Adaway

-Snapprefs for Snapchat

-Instagram Downloader

-App Settings cause I changed the the DPI on my phone so I need it to change the DPI for certain apps (camera, dialer, lockscreen) that get messed up as a result

Thats pretty much it.

I've broken almost every phone I've ever had, never will I go with a naked phone. One time I tried it and two days in I dropped it and cracked the screen. That settled the whole issue for me. Very rarely will I take it out of the case to see how it felt naked.

I feel like a lot of those are achievable with regular .apk's.

I'm the opposite on the naked phone thing tho. All my previous 3 phones I dropped over 50 times (because the pockets on my favorite shorts are too slippery/shallow) and only had one break a year after purchase. It's why I was shocked at the S6 looking jacked up after 5 drops, but apparently dudes in here are saying that's normal.

 Ah well.

lollipop upgrade isn't great because you guys are probably getting 5.0, which is what, 5 months old now?

camera comparisons are mostly meaningless. you can tell apart an awful camera. but most cell phone cameras now are roughly the same and clearly worse than professional or semi-professional cameras.

sorta want tho
love the satire... but the selfie stick is the dumbest thing ever. you look SOOOOOOO stupid when you're out in public holding one. and if you take so many selfies that u need an accessory to help u do so... u have bigger problems to deal with

Anybody have this problem. On my nexus 6 after the update when I make a call the screen go black and can't cut the screen back on. Unless u have headphones plugged in and press the power button to cut it back on other than that if u press the power button it stays off. It happened to me once on before the update but now its every time
Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML hands-on
Asus has finally released the Zenfone 2 across Europe. After already having sold 10 million Zenfones, mostly in Asia (but also Brazil), and reaching sales levels of 1.5 million units per month, Asus thinks Europeans will be interested in the Zenfone 2 range as well. All three Zenfone 2 models are up for grabs in France as of March 31. While we can assume more European countries will follow soon, Asus hasn't said anything specific yet.

The 'flagship' version of the Zenfone 2, the one with the model number ZE551ML, will be available for €299 for a limited time, after which the price will become €349. It sports a 5.5" 1080p IPS display and runs on Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with a quad-core 2.3GHz processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The rest of its specs include a 13MP rear camera with a dual-LED flash, a 5MP selfie snapper, 32GB expandable storage and a 3,000 mAh battery (supports Fast charging from 0 up to 60% in 39min). The Zenfone 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI on top.

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML  has a cheaper flavor with the less capable yet very powerful Intel Atom Z3560 chip, which features a quad-core 1.8GHz processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2 gigs of RAM. The rest of the hardware is the same.

The 5.5" display is impressively sharp at 403ppi and is protected by a sturdy piece of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Unfortunately, our impression from the time spent with it is that it doesn't seem as bright as today's crop of flagships and it performs rather unimpressive under sunlight.

Asus surely borrowed some inspiration from LG G2 and G3's highlight feature - the rear control deck. The Zenfone 2 features a button on the back, positioned in the middle, right below the camera and its dual-LED flash. Interestingly, the company decided to keep the Power button on top (it's very hard to reach the top of the tall device).

Asus Zenfone ZE551ML

The basic model of the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML comes with a brushed metal finish, which is available in a wide range of colors. Asus also offers some intriguing in-house-designed accessories - the View Flip Cover Deluxe (€40) and the standard View Flip Cover (€30). Those are also inspired by the LG G3's original cover.

View Flip Cover Deluxe • View Flip Cover • View Flip Cover

Both flip covers do the same thing - notifications at a glance, the Deluxe version is just more...well, premium and thus costs more.

More interesting are the Transfusion and Illusion series, which puts a unique rear cover on the Zenfone 2. The first breaks up the monotony with a color gradient instead of a solid color, while the latter goes even further with unique 3D patterns. Opting for one of these series will bump the base price, of course.

Speaking of the pricing, the Zenfone 2 costs €349 in France, but as of now it is sold exclusively at €299. And if you don't like the phone within the first two weeks of your purchase - you'll get your money back after returning the phone.

Asus installed a 13MP shooter on the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML with a fast f/2.0 aperture and software enhancements to improve low-light and HDR shots. This camera records 1080p video. On the front is a selfie-friendly 5MP camera with an 85° lens, which can be expanded to a virtual 140° with the Selfie Panorama mode.

Here is a blast from the past - Asus resurrects the external flash for phones! The Asus Zenflash adds a xenon flash on the back on your phone, while the Lolliflash grants you a powerful dual-LED dual-color flash. The latter comes with three multi-color filters if you want to add further drama to your images.

Asus is also offering a new ZenEar S headphones and a ZenPower 10,050 mAh power bank capable of fast charging.
Zenfone 2 benchmarks and camera samples
We managed to run some benchmarks on the two flavors of the flagship Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. The more powerful version runs on the Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with a quad-core 2.3GHz processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The lesser model utilizes the Intel Atom Z3560 chip with a quad-core 1.83GHz processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

Check out the results below.

And here are some camera samples from the 13MP snapper on the back of the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. The colors and contrast seems very good, as does the dynamic range, but the resolved detail could have been better. Of course, we have yet to further test the camera across our regular locations.
Conclusion
It's always exciting to play with new devices even if they've already launched in other parts of the world. We wish Asus' naming convention was a bit more straightforward. These confusing model names are hard enough to keep track of, a situation only aggravated by the fact that Asus offers the flagship Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML in two distinct hardware configurations under one and the same  model name.

Once you get past that, these are actually quite competitive devices and we are looking forward to putting them through their paces in fully-fledged reviews.

Been patiently waiting for the zenfone 2. Any word on when it hits the US? Read before that it'll probably be this month but still no exact date.

My Z3 has at least 2 dead pixels.  Got the phone 1 month ago.  What would you do
