you can ask either if they're familiar with football...cant assume that the built dude knows about football and that the girl doesn't know about football just from how they look.

same goes with the bubble tea situation. if he would have asked her if she drinks bubble tea, then he would of found out that she doesn't instead of assuming and slightly offending her.

basically don't assume something about a person based on how they look. personally it isn't easy, but i try to stay conscious about it every day.
