overall, the storyline took way too long to develop, the overplayed drama was past ridiculous, the flashbacks took way to long to help bring everyone's story to a full circle, and all of that crap they went through just so that dr. mahnattan can find that he got owned anyway, and like he did through the whole movie, he became submissive. the scheme was GREAT (to bring the world to peace), but they could have done that in 90 mins or less.
i walked out as did some others in the theater. i don't even care to see how it ended. that was enough of that crap.
sorry watchmen fanboys for me trashing this movie, but this was a COMPLETE EFFING WASTE OF TIME.
the ONLY thing good about this film were the slow-mo fight scenes, rorshack's storyline, rorshacks's humor and fight scenes, the comedian gettin murked in the opening scene, and the beginning credits.
save your money kiddies.

I'm glad they stayed true to the graphic novel. It's a strong statement when you can just walk around with your meat hanging out.
Now I'm going to have to deal with some of the immature people I'm going with to act super !%%+-phobic.

As for the film, I liked it a lot, but expected more. I'm convinced that Zack Synder is not a great director, though he has one hell of a visual style.When it comes to details, he had the entire film down packed. I felt the movies biggest downfall was how true to the novel they kept it. Sounds crazy butI'm convinced it wasn't the greatest idea. Converting a lot of those strips into the film didn't turn out as good as I expected. I was hoping thatSynder would've stayed true to the novel, but created his own masterpiece within the story. Instead of just going page by page and reenacting it. Ican't help but think if a better director would've taken this film under his wing, what it could've been.
One of my main complaints was that there wasn't enough details about how and when superheros came about..and that was one of the highlights of the novelIMO. That showed how that life can come with some major consequences and how serious it can ruin someones way of thinking. I honestly can't imagine howdifficult it was for someone who never read the book to understand a lot of the stuff that was occurring. Another huge flaw was the score. Who the hell waschoosing some of the songs? The funeral and the Vietnam scenes could have been 100 times more effective if it wasn't for the awkward music. Movie did haveits highlights though...Rorschach was def bad #!#...best character in the movie with the Comedian right behind him. The opening scene was amazing, as well asthe other fight scenes. They're all very brutal.

In the end, I was just happy to see a Watchmen film. I always enjoy films over any other form of entertainment. Movie seems to be more of a hate it or Love itkind of film though. I'd go into further detail on my take it on, but it really doesn't matter at this point. Just watch the film.

they changed a couple things in the movie from the book...wasnt surprised
i just got back from seeing it. i'll give it 3/5 stars. the movie was OK at best. not bad but not great just average. Rorschach was my favorite characterin the book and was my favorite in the movie as well. movie honestly could have been better the best part of the movie was when Rorscarch went to prison. theink photos part was cool, but when he fought the dude and burned his face. then shouted "i aint locked in here with yall, yall locked in here withme" CLASSIC. i was clapping at how gully my N' came out. If it wasn't for my man R i would have been disapointed in the movie though. The entireprison part was hot though. Most people love the comedian as a character because he's a bad !%%, but i always thought Rorscarch was better. Everyone hastheir own opinion.

I thought the movie was pretty good, and did a good job of following the book almost to a T, aside from the ending from what I've heard ( i only read half
)

Good movie, some really kickass scenes and lines. The music was the best part of the movie.

There was no $!##+$* reason for that movie to be 3 hrs long, i was begging for that *%%+ to end, some good fighting scenes but other than that, *%%+ wasmadddddddd boring, to much $!##+$* dialogue for no reason and once again no need for that *%%+ to be 3 hrs long, im actually upset I wasted 10 bucks on dat*%%+ like were already not in a recession right now...

It moved pretty slow for me, especially the beginning. Nonetheless I enjoyed it. I went with 2 friends that hadn't read the novel beforehand and they likedit too. Rorschach was a BEAST. 3 people sitting behind me kept complaining within 30 minutes into the movie and were like "this is the worst damn movieI've ever seen" and walked out shortly though.
