My point was Pov City Anthem had an iconic beat but wasn't an iconic song. That is what I was responding to.
I'd put Simon Says up there no doubt for that beat.
I just don't personally think It's OK has an iconic beat as much as it's an dope song.
I'd put Watch For The Hook in the iconic beat category before It's OK. Maybe 85 by Youngbloodz.
The iconic Dungeon Fam **** to me though are joints like Cell Therapy. Spottieottie.... **** like that.
How could I forgot this?
I take Iconic as respected by Hip Hop, and recognizable immediately by hip hop heads, and even people who only kind of like hip hop. Doesn't necessarily mean the 5 greatest beats ever.
Grindin
In Da Club
Juicy
Lose Yourself
Hard Knock Life or California Love
Yep. I think I put Here I Go on my list tooThis is iconic IMO especially in terms of southern Hip Hop
It wasn't. T.R.O.Y is probably one of the most mentioned tracks in this thread, along with Nothing But A G Thang, Shook Ones, and some others.skimmed through the thread. dont think i saw anyone say "reminisce".
how it was forgotten? idk...
