played alto sax from 10th grade to 12th grade and in 7th grade but the teacher said I wasn't good enough for 8th grade band.
Ended up giving it up until my mom forced me to join the junior band in 10th grade. Ended up busting my *** practicing and made concert band in 11th and 12th grade. Never made first chair but that was a good feeling.
Haven't played saxophone in damn near 10 years though.
