On a side note......according to Tinker, every Nike store will be getting a "facelift" or remodeled.

BTW, saw Tinker at Hayward Field on Sunday for the Nike Prefontaine Classic sitting in the East Grandstands in front of the pole vault pit.

After Brad Walker won with an American record jump of 19-9 3/4, Brad did a victory lap around the track, then was stopped by Tinker when he ran by thestands...Tinker designed Brad's shoes!

Honestly, Chlorophyl's are going to get destroyed because I can't bring myself to NOT wear them on a daily basis...

Good post despite the ongoing "quality" argument... I'll just say that current products are designed with performance in mind first; Retro'sare mainly used for casual wear, not performance (actually, that goes for ALL sneakers, but you get the point).

Tinker also designed the Air Raids (and perhaps the Air Raid II's?). They were supposed to be Outdoor Basketball Jordans -- witness the resemblance to theJVIII's with the crossed straps...
