R.Kelly: If I could turn back the hands of time and I cant sleep baby(if I) because when I listen to them, I think back on how past relationships used to be. Dont miss the girl(s), just miss what we had.

Josh Groban- You Raise Me Up

If this song doesn't want to make you triumph over any hardships in your life, I don't know if you have a soul or not.

Kid Cudi - Pursuit of Happiness

Just lost one of my best friends this past April to a drug overdose. He struggled with it a lot and had just finished rehab and was living in a half way house. He put this song on his Facebook a couple weeks before he passed. Can't listen to it without crying

The first time I heard this song was May of 2007. My grandfather had just died a couple days prior and a few weeks before that the shooting at VT happened on 4/16. While I didn't have any close friends die in the shootings, a few of my friends did and it was just a really sad time and hard to go through all that. Then when my grandfather whom I was really close with passed so suddenly I was just devastated and really emotional.

Billy Corgan wrote this song for his mother who had died and the mood of the song and lyrics really resonated with me. While its not typical of what most people think of when they think Smashing Pumpkins, it's one of the reasons why they are my favorite band.

Colin Hay - Waiting for my real life to begin..... It always reminds me of being at my Dad's funeral.
