As I science person, I gotta say this is how I look at it: Everything is energy in one way or another. Humans (and animals) are an amazingly complex form oforganized energy. I believe that through the course of our lives, our energy is changed, I'm not sure how, but it's changed. Eventually, our physicalenergy runs out and our bodies die. I believe that may be the end or more likely our energy (spirit?) is reorganized again. Maybe how it's reorganized isbased on how we lived, maybe not. But the real question is, What is energy?

I don't believe this, but it's a very interesting answer.
i always believed that. I hope it's true. I'd like to return to earth as a future NBA player or something.

So you want to be in this doomed world over and over again?
Each visit #%#^ getting crazier?

I have already explained in previous posts.

i have an idea what happens, but if it ends up to be nothing i don't care.

i think it's like dreaming, only being fully aware and conscious.

I don't know. I think this is possible.

i think all the answers about dying can be found by paying attention to sleeping/dreaming.

one of the first religions(if not the first) was called dreamtime.

When you die your brain essentially turns off....why would you equate a natural human neurological event such as dreaming to death? A dead brainin incapable of dreaming....now that's unless you believe dreams have nothing to do with the brain and more to do with the "soul" and othersupernatural events.

I guess most of the where we end up when we die debate hinges on whether or not you believe in the existence of a soul.

Dreamtime was never catagorized as an religion.
Dont believe everything you read on wikipedia.

@AntonLaVey: Yes to the last part.

@THE FAME: It doesn't matter to me if it's been classified as that or not.

No D-Riding or ntn like that but what you said and how you put it together sounded really intelligent...

True.
But the problems with most of these predictions.
Guys are still thinking about the flesh.
They will be no flesh. Its just spirit.
And the problem I have with reincarnation is that reincarnation depends on the factor of an planet.
Something which overtime is not sure to even exist whether because of religious reasons or scientific.

Well you stated it was an religion and I just wanted to make sure people understood that it is nothing of the sort.
It is just the idea of what is dreaming.

What if there's a nuclear holocaust on earth and starting over isn't possible, or at least doesn't make sense?

If we humans are nothing but another animal, then the thought of death is so depressing because wherever we go, it's the same place where trillions ofants, worms and mosquitoes go when they die, and I'm pretty sure that's not some romantic place like heaven.

That is the exact point I was trying make about reincarnation. It is based on the fact that there will always be an
earth or other planets which is not true.

But as far as your second statement goes.
One would say such things as insects and other animals dont have souls.

That's taking reincarnation from the standpoint that in the universe we are alone .... and if that was the case what would be it's point..... I don't get how death could ever be depressing ... I'd say if there is one true fate, it is death ... in some ways we are born dead, and life isnot granted until you accept that, only then can you truly move forward without hesitation and because of this finite timeline the leaps in creation areachieved ...
