Who lives in Vegas??? im looking to move.

Just move somewhere else in Cali, like San Diego, LA or SF...

I've been to Vegas enough to know that I wouldn't want to live there. Hell, with the Casinos in Cali, I really don't see why people even botherleaving (California) to go there. It's cheesy and full of lame %+% tourists.

I've been in Vegas for about 2.5 years. Personally, I love it out here. There's always something to do, and the weather never gets crazy cold.

But yeah, Vegas is NOT for everyone. I know plenty people who live here now who hate it, along with people who have since moved after living here for a few. Icame from Seattle, and aside from missing the obvious things like friends and fam, the only big things I miss are WATER and PRO SPORTS. I used to live on thewater back home, so I would wake board, jet ski, etc. all the time. And it sucks not being able to hop to a football, basketball, or baseball game whenever Iwant to. But CA is a short road trip away, so it's not TOO bad.

Pros:
-Major money to be made here. If you get on your grind, you'll make some paper.
-Cost of living is pretty decent, it's on the rise, but still cheaper than Seattle, and many areas of CA.
-Places stay open late, if not 24/7
-No last call
-Plenty of great restaurants and places to eat
-Great shopping

Cons:
-Summertime heat is NO JOKE.
-Traffic sucks
-Tourists all over (can also be a Pro, breezies are EVERYWHERE)
-Crime is pretty bad in some areas

Overall, it depends on what you're into when moving out here. Vegas is what YOU make it, you don't need to stay in the hustle/bustle of the strip. There are busy areas, there are quiet areas; it's just like any other city, if you know where to go. Party life and gambling can suck you in, if youdon't have much self control though. I've seen it happen to PLENTY of people.

My plan was to get out of Seattle for a change of pace, I wanted to be out here for about 5 years. Halfway to that five years, and I still see myself out herefor awhile longer. I've since bought a house, and landed a pretty solid career. One of my best friends from HS moved out here right after graduation. He's been here 8 years, and also sees no turning back.

I've also seen the flip side of the coin too, with people moving here and it NOT working out.

Feel free to hit me if you need more info.
