one of the MODS felt that Cam'ron>Lupe
i aint mad at em.
In Before The Lock.....
Dude had a Wayne avy complaining about the state of hip-hop.
It's a conspiracy by the man
that's what I was wondering...some good discussion...didn't expect it to get locked at all...moved, maybe...but not locked
Doesn't seem like something that would warrant a lock.
It was just getting good too. My money is on Holden
Since it was dealing with larger social issues a move wasn't really necessary either.
And I really hope a mod comes thru w. an explanation....because it wasn't just about hip-hop like u said....
Same reason why this one is gonna get locked..
what's wrong with wayne? can't say i'm a fan, but dude seems to really enjoy what he does, and does it the way he wants to, not alabel crony. Like him or not, in today's music, how can you not appreciate that?
Yesterday dudes had multiple threads with porno pics on the first page open for the whole day....an intelligent discussion about a real issue gets locked inminutes.
Plus the OP in the last thread explained his avy and how it contradicted what he was saying in his post....
I was just about to say this.
Good job mods. Very good job.
cats is funny
HOW MUCH DOES NT LOVE CLIPSE?
they main sellin point is the white. yall same dudes in here now talkin about its a problem.
i cant front on that haze.
A fair number or people criticize The Clipse for their repetitive subject matter.
But behind all that, they have a message in every album and their lyricism is top notch.
But no one is saying that gangsta rap doesn't have a place in Hip-Hop...its part of reality.
But it is not the entire reality. Why would you be mad that people want variety and realistic expression and artistry in their music....like there has alwaysbeen.
You arguing for ignorance and stagnation...don't make sense to me.
Holden thinking somebody requesting a free mixtape probably
damn where was I?
WTH? nah brova. lifes a dash i aint mad at that at all.
im sayin an im keepin it 100 with you. You can have your Nas, Lupe all that............i like all types of rap.
BUT, dont take my ignorant rap away because of a few knuckleheads inthe world.
Nah I don't think any one is calling for Hell Rell and em to disappear....You got real street cats coming out of jail and off the streets that ain'trefined or educated and they just trying to make a better life for themselves, spitting about what they know....but why is that the only thing being offered tothe mainstream listener, feed to our children, played over public airwaves and given as a representation of our culture and race?
Thats a problem.
In the year that New York had thousands of murders, 7 bodies for each 100,000 residents...Hip-Hop was at it peak. There was music about the PTA, uniqueself-expression, funky jazz type stuff, real G music from real Gz, etc....now homicide and crime rates are at their lowest in many major cities and theignorance and gunplay is at an all time high. We're being pimped.
