Will Lunars ever reach Air Max status?

Lunar Glide has a shape that could aesthetically be considered as refined to the point of being classic, but it seems they (Nike) just produce too many models right now for one to be able to have a chance to rise above all the others (many of which look very similar) and become classic.  Some of the Air Max from back in the day had more time to be considered since other models weren't constantly flooding the market.  They enjoyed more focus on them and less "competition" in the consideration of classic status.

i've been collecting for a while and recently decided to start a Lunar collection.  I see everyones point about the legacy of the AM's and their status and i'm not sure anything will replace them but but i think the lunars are developing a nice following and it will be interesting to see where the line goes.  I could see them having a nice following and being respected in the sneaker community, i mean they can only retro and re-retro so many shoes from the 90's
