I am not talking about the middle class which there is a few of them in comparison to when you take the effect of the inequality gap between therich and poor class. I am talking about how the majority of the people in Egypt are poor. Despite how it is rich in natural resrouces, it is classified as apoor country since the average per person income is about $1200 per year. The majority of the population which is poor are very visible in the urban and ruralareas and struggle to make ends meet. However, when it comes to what you are talking about, the middle class keeps weakening.Originally Posted by Carlos Tevez
This is 100% false. You'll survive just fine in Egypt if you're in the lower middle-class. Middle-class workers make around 1000 Egyptian pounds a month (about $180 USD) and they are able to survive. Monthly rent is as low as 10 pounds a month, daily transportation is around 5 pounds so wages are in proportion to living standards. People are quick to compare wages in under-developed countries to the cost of living in the West. Sure, $180 USD a month will get you NOTHING in the U.S., but its enough to survive month-to-month in the Middle East.

There's a few reasons for that. Most of the time the mothers stay with the kids and the fathers go to make the money. You gotta remember inAfrica polygamy is only just outdated lol. All these old men with money and families usually have a few girlfriends. Many Africans don't come to Americalooking for a "better life." They come for an education and then go back home.Originally Posted by mytmouse76
