Not to mention, the racism in Egypt makes America look like a wonderland.
This is 100% false. I know tons of East Africans who lived in Egypt for 5-20 years and not once did any of them speak of racism. In fact, many ofthem were perceived to be Egyptians when they learned to speak Egyptian Arabic. In case you didn't know, Egyptians are mixed people and so you'll havemany who are born with extremely dark skin color. In case you didn't know, Egypt was once the same country as Sudan for over 50-years and so many peopleborn in Sudanese territory have Egyptian citizenship. In case you didn't know, Egypt is home to tens of thousands of black Africans who make a living anddo well financially in the country. In case you didn't know, Egypt does not have a history of slavery or de jure segregation like the U.S. does. I hatewhen people make ignorant comments like this without any basis at all.
Oh yeah, here's the most popular Egyptian President ever....racism in Egypt, huh?
I have not looked into racism in Egypt. My mom works with diplomats. Those who travelled to the Middle East mostly point out Egypt as the worst Middle Eastern country they have been to. The poverty and pollution is a serious problem. The country is overpopulated and they have grave economic/political/social issues. One serious social issue is with street kids/people.
Poverty and pollution is a serious problem but unfortunately that is the result when you had a socialist revolution that set the country'seconomy back 40-years and a dictator who has been in charge for almost 30-years. Not to mention that Egypt has the largest population amongst Arab countriesand I believe the 3rd highest population in the continent. Despite it's wealth of problems, Egypt remains one of the most developed Arab and Africancountries. Poverty is definitely a problem in Cairo but there are a bunch of really clean suburbs in the city where pollution and noise arent a problem (andyou dont need to be rich to live there either).
