Wrestling Thread Dec 31-Jan 13 | 1/13 TNA Genesis PPV |

I do agree that Punk has more content in his promos than the Rock but the Rock can still set any arena on fire(electrifying).

But Rock should of came out and talked about...

The descendant of Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia.....Wrestling is in his lineage.....To starting out in the WWE.....To joining the Nation of Domination...to leading the Nation...Getting in the ring with the likes of Triple H, Jericho, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Shamrock, Hulk Hogan....Stone Cold Steve Austin. Talk about he's seen Punks before. He's been through D-X. The NWO...etc... And he was able to do what NO ONE, and he means NO ONE could EVER Do...Walk away on his own terms. The way HE wanted to do it.....To achieve his goals and see his dreams come true not only in the ring but on the Big Screen.

Talk about CM Punk's Cobra Tattoo and mention on how he STARS in the upcoming GI Joe Movie.

Close it with something like: Best in the World? You're about to go One on One....with the GREAT ONE. Then proceed to show how he can have the audience eat out the palm of his hand with his usual catch phrases.

Fast forward, Punk loses the strap....Punk beats 'Taker at Mania...goes on to talk about he has done what no one could EVER do at Wrestlemania and beat the Undertaker.

No matter what I still see a triple threat match of Punk v Cena v Rock headlining WM29

Cena kicks out of a GTS, makes Punk submit to the STF, Cena kicks out of 2 Rock Bottom, AA's Rock off the turnbuckle to "send everyone home happy."

DBry & Kane are still Tag Team Champions because there's nowhere else for them to shine at the moment.
WWE Title picture is CM Punk/Rock/Cena
World Title picture is Show/Sheamus/Ziggler/Swag Rio
Main Event scene is cluttered so this gives them something to do in the interim until after Wrestlemania. If not they be wandering aimlessly like the Orton, Miz and Kofi currently are
I would love to see Daniel Bryan in a feud with Dolph Ziggler or Antonio Cesaro and let Kane go to smackdown to feud with Big Show and Sheamus.

- There was some doubt regarding Steve Austin’s status for next week’s RAW 20th Anniversary show but word now is that something happened over the weekend and Austin will most likely be appearing now. WWE is looking to go very big with next week’s show.

So what was the big angle from last night's show that's supposed to have us "talking" ??

Just now got caught up watching RAW....Punk promo was AMAZING! Dude is blessed with skills on the mic :smokin

D’Angelo Dinero wrote the following message on his Twitter account in regards to his status with TNA Wrestling.

“Pope’s Contract expired with TNA on Jan 1, I will not be resigning. Thanks to Dixie and the whole TNA Family for a wonderful 3+ Years.”

“And for the SM’s out there, THIS is not a storyline.”

I'm going to post this "rumor" in spoilers regarding SD & the rock tonight

I watched Punk's doc on Netflix last night and couldn't help but think of all the parallels he has with Kanye West (Chicago, didn't fit the mold, personality type, etc.)

I stopped watching wrestling right before Edge became the Rated R Superstar, but CM Punk is making me a fan again. I really don't care for anyone else except for maybe Daniel Bryan and the older guys in the company (Hunter, Rock, Taker, Jericho, etc.)

There's an influx of young talented guys coming in right now so it's a pretty good time to start watching again.

Smfh @ the fact they only gave Cesaro an 84 in the game. Playing a tag with him and Sandow right now. Boss.

Ps. Son looks exactly like Jason Statham in this game.

Uh...yes please.

The Pope was destined for the main event until Hogan and friends showed up and he was buried by Abyss :{

I know :{ What that his last match there? The last thing i remember about him was that [silly] storyline with him and D-Von's kids, then I remember an injury

I thought the angle that was supposed to have people talking was gonna happen @ the 20th anniversary since the show after that week is just another RAW, so they have to do something for people to tune in the week after the anniversary.

No that match with abyss was during the Immortal storyline. The Dvon story line was his last few matches tho i could be wrong tho

Would everyone be ok if Punk ended Takers streak and Taker retired. I mean you're supposed to go out on a loss right?

That would be a ridiculously ******ed decision. When streaks are broken, they become irrelevant. Sure it would put Punk over in a major way....

But some streaks just aren't meant to be broken.

Thanks to Rob & Deek for posting those vids.

In a completely unrelated topic, I hate how all WWE shirts have designs on the back. Worst kind of tees.

I don't want Taker to have his streak ended..It's the least they could do to let him go out undefeated since, imo, he has done so much for them for so long..Plus with todays idiotic soap opera writers doing all the storylines there's little chance they could capitalize on him getting beat..They would make a big deal of it for about 2 RAW's and then never mention it again, which would kill who-ever's push they would choose..Plus who could really be the one to benefit from beating him?..

The only people I can see benefiting from beating Taker would be Dolph or Barrett. .....and its crazy how dinero was misshandled in wwe and tna
