I assume hes torn between his family's perspective on it and his peers at school, so he watched this movie and it made it simple for him. The fact is, most college campuses, especially state schools are SOOOOOO liberal and pushy about the liberal agenda its questionable. But..... this aint the place for politics

My problem with a lot of this type of criticism of Obama is it's simply fear mongering and people make no effort to educate themselves further. "Oh but he's anti-colonialism.." AND? What do you know about colonialism? The history? The impact? The reasons? His dad was anti-west... ok, and is there a reason why someone might be anti-west? Has Obama's efforts as President been that of a man who is anti-west? What exactly are these anti-west influences in action as President? I'm not saying he is X or he is Y or he's done Z.. but those who get influenced by something like this don't like to explain things further. It simply reaffirms the beliefs you already had and couldn't quite articulate in such a convincing and frightening way.

Same thing about people crying all day long how he's a secret socialist and how communism is in our future. That lady interviewed the other week who was actually pressed about what makes him a communist and she had nothing. People just throw out these "scary" words like communist when they have NO knowledge of the history or meaning of these things. At least older adults can recall back to when the Soviet Union was actually in power and things like the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam were real and could play on fears of communism and Soviet rule... but when pressed about the actual policies of socialism or communism and how Obama has turned out country socialist, they're absolutely silent.

What do you mean just admit it, I said he sketched me out multiple times. It doesn't make me a racist. It's because I'm not familiar with his upbringing. I expected our first black president to be a person who grew up being able to relate to the African-American struggle in America with discrimination. Someone who had family who dealt with segregation. Not some dude who's father was chilling doing god knows what in Kenya with a white mother taking him back and forth from Hawaii and Indonesia I don't get how that makes me wrong. I don't get how that make me a racist. But if that's what you think I am I will definitely try to care.

So...you know. 

Yeah, true- in "academia", and other than that- thats about it as far as highly educated. They arent making that money like most conservatives anyways, and its in their favor to be democratic. Other than actors/musicians and some select athletes- the majority of the rich to wealthy are going to favor a more conservative agenda. I think the reason many actors/musicians/athletes remain liberal after the money comes in is because the majority dont come from wealth or privilege, so many stay true to their upbringing (and most of them arent highly educated either)

If you're a bill maher fan, thats basically what he's said several times.

Plus, many of them play roles of people who are marginalized in society and they're more able to sympathize.

I wish more folks were as honest as OP were .I like the fact he isnt hiding his prejudice see that eliminates him as a threat he showed his hand already whatever move he makes it will be out in the open.If he was smarter he would word what he said better and be more dangerous .He forfeited all rights to undermining or getting his beautiful lily white america back.Let him continue to play this way I wouldnt even report him.
