I feel ya man. I pretty much always wear low black socks whether ball, lifting, or casual...but learned from my Kobe 11 USA pair which is pretty much all white, that black socks will def bleed into the material. Around the toe box of those there's black shading after the few times I played in...

So haven't given Kobes a chance after the first ADs dropped. The bad reviews and just bland look turned me off, then the weird sheath covered ad nxts, then the mids released and those turned me off more...thought the Kobe line was dead to me and was looking around for other brands/bball shoes...

Can we just all admit the Kobe A.D. sucks on all levels? The purple colorway is ok I guess. The Nxt's are ok only for the reason they actually got decent performance reviews. I was going to consider an NXT, but then I saw a kid walking around with them on and good god...they are f'ing ugly...

Really? I haven't said a word about these - the a.d. or the Nxt. So the a.d. was a no go cuz every single person I know said it was ****...and it looked half hearted. The purp colorway looked the best Imo. Then they bring out the nxt

Damn, that's really depressing to hear.  I have been waiting for the lows to drop and was super pumped to get a few for bball/gym. I love the look of the shoe but if the traction is that inconsistent and garbage, f it.  I seriously don't get why Nike fcks with good things when they have em. ...

Yea I think that white/black/court purple confused a lot of us early on and we thought we might be getting those purple to white fades (which is the best colorway hands down so far).  The last emperors should obviously have a black/grey/white type colorway description...there's no purple there...

Ended up getting the blees and they're pretty dope, though I do still think of ketchup/mustard when I see them, idk.  But was looking at all the colorways together at ftl and those last emperors are pretty damn nice.  Any good discos on those things around?  I might have to go in on those and...

I'd give anything for those to be the white to purple fade instead of poor mans 8 gradient.  They're nice but prob a pass.

ASG colorway is pretty good but no way I'm getting down with that massive tongue/shin guard or the pull tab on top of it.  Pass.  Passing on the purps (still got 8 fades around), need the next batch of colorways to start dropping.

So agree.  I like the black to purple fade but I still have a few pairs of the 8 fade that aren't too worn down that I like better.  That white/purple pair is the pair I really want but I doubt they're getting a release.

As far as traction I hope these BHM are pretty legit.  Like some of you, I just don't get why you f with something that can't really get any better.  The 9 traction was unbelievable, why change it? dumb.  I still wear 9 EMs when I'm playing really competitive ball.

I don't think you'll have a problem when they drop because of the ridiculous $20 bump up to $220.  So mad I missed on the 23penny deal, what a steal, smdh!  If no other deals pop up then I'll be getting them release day, and have no worries they'll be available at least for a little whiile. 

Hey @dwoodactennis, besides the zoom bag blowout how were the 29 lows performance wise compared to the kobe 11? Any preference between the two?  I'll end up getting a few 11s but wanted to get in on the 29s because of all the great performane reviews.

Honestly, if you look at the progression from the 8 on,the X feels like a random out of place shoe, almost a filler.  I didn't mind the X, have like 4 pairs, solid bball shoe, but the X! looks like the true next step from the 9. 

Low profile, light, pretty minimal sounds and looks good to me.  For me this all comes down to how the flyknit upper performs...and of course how solid the traction is.  If it's another fake flyknit backed by a bunch of glue/fuse I'll maybe get 1 pair, maybe.  I can't throw down money anymore...
