Dude up there just put Wayne as the #2 of ALL-TIME.
Saying how Soulja Boy/Wayne shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.
Comparing SB to Wayne proves more mental stability than saying Wayne is the #2 of all time. Please don't even put in the Wayne same sentence as any of thepeople you just said he was better than.

Obviously Nas is more deep and his lyrics make you think twice.
On the other hand, Lil wayne knows how to sell albums more like.
Not saying Nas hasn't done platinum.
Don't get me wrong though, Lil wayne is a very charismatic rapper who appeals alot of audiences.
But Nas is too lyrical and Lil wayne is more versatile.

At first I thought this wasn't even close, but after giving it some thought, the op's original question is vague and it really depends on yourdefinition of what makes a better artist.
Its funny that a lot of people in here that are saying Nas is better but they rather listen to Wayne, are the same ones that are criticizing those that thinkWayne is better than Nas.
If someone thinks the better artist is the one who makes the more enjoyable music or is more likeable, and if that just happens to be Wayne that's theiropinion and you can't knock them for it.

you can say eminem is a better freestyler all you want but be real what does he talk about in his albums? his mom hailey and killin people so to me eminemhasnt really had a great album cuz how many of yall can relate to what he's sayin? its fun to listen and see what he will say next but in the end wayne isbetter. the carter is better then any of eminems albums. and as for nas well hes just boring. After the beef with Jay-z it was down hill from there. he's agreat rapper but when it comes down to it and wayne wants to (dedication 2, Drought 3, many other various mixtapes) he will have the best verse on any song andit doesnt matter whos on with him. so unless they reincarnate BIGGIE (g.o.a.t.) not a single rapper out is over all better then wayne. I just turned 20 actually. but i clearly stated that wayne is not what he used to be cuz he isnt tryin to rap like that no more. ill say that waynes prime was2003-07. but you dont have to have a million albums to be great. Biggie had one album and he is clearly better then every rapper ever period. but how can yourelate to nas? and the fact that you can name off all this stuff associated with wayne should say something bout you; you know his stuff and apparently youknow it well cuz you just named off like 6 things that his music is about and not a sinlge thing was said bout anything else for the most part. Everyone whohates on wayne like it or not your talkin bout him and his name is in your mouth. and everyone stop bringing up albums cuz i guaruntee C3 (carter 3) outsoldevery nas album ever combined. Wayne is real like it or not and by hatin on him yall are still talking bout him lol you guys love to hate. o and i dontremember who said it but never put ludacris' name in the same sentence as wayne. Who cares about album sales, even though Nas does have multiple Platinum and Gold albums which outnumber C3 in sales by millions
I don't think Luda is that great either, but he's had a few moments after Word of Mouth
I'm not hating at all, I even listen to Wayne, but this thread just reinforces the FACT that duke is highly overrated and has blown himself to massiveproportions and his millions of fans go with it. Sure he may be good but when you compare him to Nas not only by their current state in the game but also theirentire catalogs it becomes hilarious because you are then comparing Lil' Wayne with one of the GOAT, which Weezy is not

well sir to be honest Jay-z is Waynes favorite rapper he's said it on many occassions. Wayne has called himself the best rapper alive and not one singlerapper in the game had anything to say about it. usually when someone says there the best and someone has a problem with it they speak up, so either all otherrappers besides Wayne are +@#% or they respect that wayne is the best living rapper. Anyone whos the best has no problem saying it. Michael Jordan said it onthe back of the jordan 12's before he was done playing the game lol. im not saying wayne is the same as jordan but you get my point. WAYNE > nas
