Long Read:

So I was at a party Saturday and I dropped my iPhone onto a tiled floor and the spot on the top where you put the SIM card popped up. SO I pushed it back downand it told me I needed to plug it into my iTunes. So the next day when I got home I plugged it into iTunes, and it told me it found an iPhone in need ofrestoring. So obviously I restored it. After restoring it, it told me to restore it again. So I did this about 5 times before deciding to go to the AppleStore. When I got there I was told to make an appointment to see an Apple Genius. Made one for tonight. I went in, the Apple Genius guy plugged my phone intohis Mac and rebooted it. The phone came back on but with all of my contacts, music, pictures, apps, etc. missing. He told me that when I got home I could justplug it in and since my iPhone was backed up on iTunes it would restore all of my stuff. I get home and plug it in. It tells me to restore it again.

I do it, but this time at the end it starts syncing all of my music, photos, apps, etc. So I'm good right? Hell to the no. Same thing happens, it asks me to restore it again. I call Apple Care, they tell me to go into the storeagain, and after threatening to cancel my iPhone service the lady on the phone says, "That's fine, you just have to go to an AT&T store to dothat."

No, "Please sir, if we can't fix your problemwe'll send you a new one free of charge." No, "Sir let us take care of this month's bill."

I'm going into the Apple Store tomorrow, if they can't fix it, I'mheading to the AT&T store and scooping up a BB Bold.

I didn't tell them I dropped it. 'Cus there's no sign of the drop, they have no idea that I dropped it. No scratches and no dents. Plus mostcompanies will offer soem sort of reimbursment for a inconvenience such as 4 days of not being able to use a cellphone.

Hell it certainly has worked in the past. Everytime I return a DVD late at Blockbuster I just threaten to go to Hollywood.

when was the last time you sync your iphone prior to the incident??

if you're trippin over some lost contacts then that is crazy

most companies like who? i agree, most carriers would, but i doubt nokia will go to att to tell them to lower your bill because your phone hasnt worked in 4days. and im guessing the phone is out of warranty, which is why they won't switch it for a new one.

most companies wont hesitate on switching products if they are under warranty, hell apple recently switched my 2 year old macbook pro for a new model becausemy optical drive kept failing after being sent in 3 times.

I last did it Christmas eve.

was everything you had in the phone synced to the computer at the time??

I myself have dropped my phone twice and had no problem besides a few scratches, since that was unappealing to me I went to Apple and told them that my phonekeeps on freezing. They tested it out for a few, didn't find obvious problems BUT they gave me a brand new phone. I did this twice with the 1st gen Iphoneand the 3g

the best way to do is just tell them it does it randomly. tell them somedays it does it and some it doesnt. there is no way to prove you wrong because theycant keep you without your phone for more than a day to truly test it out

I didn't, when I was in the store before the guy fixed it, he was giving me the scenarios, and he said if they can't fix it they'll replace it...for $200.

Yeah except when they take a look at my phone and see that it DOESNT F*****G TURN ON PERIOD. Lol, sorry about that outburst. I don't think I could trickApple when they realize that it doesn't turn on.
