Thanks G, and I believe in God if that matters

i was just bout to ask these same questions
So because he turned to Satan he must have been going through a terrible time in life? Umm don't a lot of people find god when they'reterminally ill or in jail? You asked an honest question but to way you asked it was very condescending.

Isn't classification the issue with religion in the first place?

But he says no one is born with a satanist mindset but no one is born with a christian, muslim, any religion mindset for that matter. And hementions someone had to instill this in his brain as if he's not a fully functioning human being who can read books and discover something on his own.

He also stated that he's against the negativity of Christianity (Crusades, abuse of powers, negative justifications, etc.).

Ok? You don't have to had a bad experience with religion to be against the negativity. All you need to do is turn on the TV. Religion hasnever ruined my life personally but I can view the division it brings between people. And there isn't much denying that

I was "born" catholic, no I didn't have any traumatic experiences that turned me away from God. I became an atheist in high school, had more to do with logic than anything. I'm the kind of guy who questions everything and I questioned my faith and none of it made any sense so I rejectedit. I'm also very sensitive to human suffering and if God exists he has forsaken a lot of people on this planet. My life has been good for the most part..well in comparison to others I consider myself lucky. I just think religion is all talk for the most part......and I have already expressed earlier how itdoesn't do enough to help and does more bad than good. And save the "it's all in God's plan" for someone else.

I'm a Catholic, I go to church every sunday, but I'd consider myself more spiritual than religious. I don't believe in the OP's belief, but hecan practice whatever he desires. I mean I can see what he says about the negatives of christianity namely the crusades, and how elder popes would use theirpower to impose their wills on emperorsa nd other powerful rulers. I could see what he means by scapegoating. I think that's more on the human side ofthings and is not really under the fundamentals of the religion. Like how some islamic extremists justify suicide bombing by declaring jihad and such. I thinkthat's wrong in a sense that the crusade was used by those christians to justify their exploitations. It's just a shame that the media negativelyportrays Islam. It would probably be the same thing had hte Crusades went on today. I'm standing firm with my beliefs, I've always thought there is aGod, and nothing can be done by anyone to tell me otherwise.

Bro, I remember seeing a documentary about that house and the gatherings they had. One time me and my cousin went looking for it.
Where is it?

It use to be in 6114 California St., but it was demolished in 2001. Dammit.

Again, I personally know no one who has killed themselves over religion.

You keep making these broad generalizations about religion because you can base your "belief" on nothing else.

You're just a kid in undergrad who read a new book and feels enlightened.

Like a N' in jail who reads his first book ever and wants to tell you all about the "real deal" and how you need to wake up.

A "LaVeyan Satanist" - I mean, do you honestly take yourself seriously?

1. LOL I had a lot of LaVey's ideals even before I read the book......(THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW).

2. You may not know any personally but people have killed themselves in the name of religion.

3. I didn't make a broad generalization....read the thread. I have said time and time again....I have nothing against religion just certain aspects of it.

Some White people have been racists for the last hundreds of years. Does that mean all white people are racists?

Do you even know what you're talking about. I swear youre replying to stuff that you think people said. All I said was hundreds of people have beenkilled over religion and still are. That's a Pine Sol fact. No where in my posts did I say everyone who is religious kills people for what they believe. You know what kind of world we would be if that was true. I swear you must be illiterate.
