Miami is overcrowded, overrated, overpriced, over hyped, and the last time I checked is very crime ridden with all the international gangs thatinhabit the city. Its no better than DC. Only difference is I visited Miami and wasn't impressed.Originally Posted by infamousod

wow youre the first person to say my tattoo looks cheap. i guess you cant see the detail in the pics. But dude did didnt slack on the columns on the lincolnmemorial and also got the shading nice too for such a confined space on my arm. I dunno man i think he did a pretty good job. And my tattoo wasnt 100 dollarsbut i think i got a pretty good price for it at 250. I cant afford 1,000 dollar tats

What I've been informed (by a professor I found pretty reliable) is that the obelisk was created in Egypt as representative of the penis ofOsiris. From what I remember, in Egyptian mythology, Isis castrated Osiris and the original obelisks were monuments to the god in that sense. I've neverheard anything about Satan in that respect.
Aside from the origins of the form, the Washington Monument was commissioned to be a monument to George Washington's manhood/masculinity. So the way I seeit, it's still a penis, but not a devil penis.
And for the record, I love D.C.

yall would've made a crack no matter what city I posted. of course Miami has crime but it was never the "murder capital of the US"
point is DC is up there with Detroit and Baltimore as the least desirable major cities in the US and if you like it there you're probably part of thereason why its so bad.

Hating???? There isnt hating on my end, yeah its cold here and its like 60 down there so what? I like DC cuz its good networking for my major, DChas the best universities in the nation (HU, Georgetown, George Washington, American, and Catholic) as well as a university for the hearing impared (Galludet),there is power in the Government, and we have history. Not to say Miami has doesnt have good schools cuz they do, and only ONE SECTION OF DC HAS CRIME that gives the whole city a bad image. The murder rate has actually declined since those 90sstatistics that every out of towner wants to qoute. Not to turn this into a rep yo city thread, but before you say something about DC get ya facts rightplease thats all Im saying. Im done with this cuz i hate going back and im over it. Have a good one
