i would like to try it especially when i just turned 21 couple of weeks ago...baseball season is almost here and ill sit by the bar, order some munchies andenjoy the game by myself to get away from everything....alone time is great sometimes because you get to relax

If I'm going somewhere where only my budget allows and no one elses (ie. Ruth's Chris, local steakhouse)

I'm perfectly fine with that.

I usually eat with a coworker tho.

everyday for the past 2 years at my job, lonely lunch time, but then again sometimes i go with chicks i meet around here. so thats cool, but majority of thetime i go by myself

I used to eat breakfast and lunch, and if I was busy or typing a paper, dinner alone in the dining hall all the time...

i dont co depend on anybody...hell i dont even go to the cafe anymore... but i've hardly ever seen anybody eating by themselves unless itsbreakfast

I've done it plenty of times - mostly when away on business.

I did find it weird when I was on vacation last week in a nice family hotel and there was a lady sitting in the restaurant eating on her own - reading a book.I guess single people liek to go on vacation too but it just seemed more weird being in a place like that.

Yup.

But, this one time I got off school around lunch time and wanted some Soup Plantation. This place usually gets PACKED during lunch hours (kinda buffet stylesalad & soup).

So, I go by myself and I get seated a 4 table seat ... looking like a loner I get my food and just read stuff on my phone, I then finished up and decided toget dessert.

I got some ice cream in a bowl and then started going back to my seat and then some stupid hostess was seating a family of 4

I was standing there with my ice cream looking like

Then the hostess felt stupid and got the people up, and I said nah its ok I'll eat my ice cream standing up

how embarassing.

i'm a waitress so i always get people coming by themselves. it's not so weird. i've done it... i was shopping in soho and really wanted umbertos soi went by myself.... i dont get why people think this is weird..... if you are happy with yourself and self confident then there should be no problem

I pull up to Applebees for a couple drinks and a appetizer at the bar about once a month
It aint nothin for me tho, cuz I be on solo business trips all the time, go grab a bite, check the scenery, and if there's some females try n pull somethin

Step your confidence up. I'm not all there but hell if I'm hungry I'm going to get something to eat. When I was working on Wall St. I used to eatat this Chinese restaurant 2x/wk by myself. I got my Financial Times (so I look sophisticated) to keep me occupied. There's no problem with enjoying a mealby yourself. I go to the movies sometimes by myself as well. I'm not going to let anyone hold me back from what I want to do. The only thing I don't doby myself is parties, so awkward showing up by yourself unless you know the people that are throwing it.
