This is where we disagree... He was the thought process behind the whole Barksdale movement. If Avon hadn't been so stuck on that gangsta !!** theywould've been past straight. He would've been able to get Prop Joe's package w/o the Brother situation and like he said they would've beenmaking more money because they were paying less for the merch. He brought the co-op together causing less turmoil over turf, and he was successfully phasingthem out of the game, just like he said the would've been the bank, finiance a package and no worry about how it got distributed because they would gettheirs off top. They would've been untouchable. He Was That ManOriginally Posted by Mangudai954
I started watching the whole thing from the first season and it really gave me a different outlook in stringer. Dude wasn't all that imo.

True, but what about that grimey N' Clay Davis... because, if you look at it, that was probably they only way of makin' surethat they whole entire business was seen as legit. If Davis wouldn't have screwed String out of that 250K, he could've washed all that drug moneythrough real estate.
I see what you sayin, but it seem like to me that they was goina hit that road block eventually effin' wit Clay Davis...

That moment was when i wanted Stringer to fall. D was never going to give them up. He took it for his mom. Remember, they left him in New York on that dope run. Alone. And he told String not to touch that boy who went to live with his grandmom's but he ordered Bodie to do him anyway. D found out and was pissed like a motherf. But all that#@@% in the interrogation room ( end of season 1) was his opportunity to let all his anger and frustration out. But his mom's came up and held his hand, letting him know what he was doing time for. And he manned-up and pled guilty. All he wanted was to be left alone. To have peace. And what did String do? He took D's girl and his son, and then kill D. WTF. After that, i was waiting, begging to see Omar kill that motherf. It was the greatest moment in The Wire. String was a money fiend. And in the end, to save his ***, a snitch. He had no loyalty, or honor.
