***Serious Topic For The Guys*** NT How Do You Break Up With Your Barber

My brother is a barber so I can NEVER break up. I remember going to other barbers when I was OT and when I came back, no matter how fresh I thought thecut was, my brother would say "Damn, you let son !$%+ you up OT."

Then there were those times in college when I would get a cut and really get savaged. I think they just let the first five people that show up to the shop cuthair in NC. I don't think the same person gave me consecutive cuts. I didn't spare any feelings either. They were just jumps.

but for real here's my story

my barber has been cuttin my hair since i was like 5 yrs old we broke up for a few yrs because he disappeared suddenly and left me with many questions to beanswered and a new barber to be desired. I couldn't find one I was happy with so I just settle with a new barber and everyone knows you just don'tsettle with females or barbers. My experience with this barber was the worst of my life so I just decided to grow the rows. After a few years with the rows Idecided I no longer wanted them and this convo with my boy must have been faith cause this is when I was reunited with my long lost barber. My boy tells me hegets his haircut by this dude named Tim in a house by the library. When he said the name TIM I was so estatic cause I knew that had to be him, so I had my boydescribe him to me and BINGO! that was him. When I walked into the shop, music started playing and I have never been so happy to see another dude in my lifeand I gave him the best handshake/dap in my life.

Throughout the yrs we've had our battles with him taking to long, taking smoking breaks, cuttin me, missin my appt, and other dumb things barbers do, butthe one thing I haven't forgiven over is him being a golddigger. With him working in a house it was only him and one other dude, but the other dude nolonger worked cause of a messed up back so it was just my barber TIM. So to make a long story short with all the added work my barber has raised his priceslike no other, so how can I get him to lower my price with out me comin off as cheap or a jerk?

My old barber started f'ing up drinking and smoking while giving me my cut. And comming in late. I had to switch it up.
 
NEVER GET CLOSE WITH YOUR BARBER. Its not that big of a deal for me either. If he does a wack job, I go to another barber and he shouldnt care because hedoesnt know me and I dont know him.
 
Maaaaaan I'm going through this thing with my barber only thing is I don't know who else I can turn too don't nobody treat me like my barber doeshe know my whole life story we can talk for hours which is also one of the bad things.... My barber takes FOREEEEVER to cut not to mention my barber takes foodsmoke and drank(yes alchohol) breaks he will cut for like five minutes then eat then talk then cut for five minutes talk then start drinkin hennessy...... Thencut then take a smoke break it used to be cool cause he offers me free drinks but he cut my waves off like 2 in this past year and it's only April I'min the process of rebuilding.....only thing is he cuts good it's just he isn't focused and be messing up my cuts with uneven linings and variouspatches of hair still under my chin from shaving.....idk what to do it's hard to find someone u can trust with ur waves
 
Change shops. I was going to my barber for like almost 3 years then he moved to a new shop, I went a few times he was doing half- jobs so I went to a few shopsstill half jobs. Came across one that's like 15 mins away but the job is cool, so I kept going but if I needed a quick cut I'd go to the half- jobshops and leave no tip. But then I went to my boys barber and he was cuttin me fresh for a minute then all the sudden he moved, so I went to this latinbarbershop spot that's been in my city for the longest, I never went to, thats where I been getting cut since, my barber is young so he'll be cuttinggood for at least a few more years.
 
Break up?...Son you dating him or something?

Just dont go in his chair no more or just look for a new shop
 
I recently went back to my old barber cause my dude was out of town and he offered a free cut. After the cut i remembered why I left.
NEVER AGAIN.

I never believed in that designated barber mess. As far as the barbershop is concerned, I'm ALWAYS in a rush to get out of there. If my barber's notthere I'll go to whoever is there. Even if My barber is busy with multiple people ahead of me and there's another cat with no one waiting for him (yeahI know that's a sure sign that he usually can't cut). I just get a simpler style, barely any taken off and the back skinned out. If it's reallythat bad, I'll just go back, or fix it myself at home. Just gotta remember, hair always grows back. I feel worse for females getting their hair donebecause it's more expensive and more time consuming.

im actually that dude in the shop...............we chat an what not but i dont even think son knows my name.........i swear on everything none of them do. immaregular at that. i dont even dap all the barbers when i come in. im like that quiet customer then i just join discussions whenever i feel like it and what not.like i talk to these dudes every week, matter fact i loaned them my boondocks dvd set. but i keep that lil distance.
 
find out usual guys day off and go in for cuts then..or just tell him...homeboy 2 chairs down is way better

Truth. thats where i go. Lawrence and Julian are on point with there cuts.
 
I went through the same thing last year.
This one dude used to cut my hair right for 2 years straight all of a sudden started messin up
My shape up was crooked as hell
messed up my sideburns
pushed my hairline back and made me look like Wayne Brady

I got tired of it and this one lady who does a way better job with her other customers called me over to get a cut,
She started cuttin it just the way I always like it.
She doesn't push my hairline back,
Doesn't talk too much
gives me free cuts sometimes for being a loyal and appreciative customer
IT'S BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND SHE HASN'T SCREWED UP ONCE

i can relate to everything said. my barber of 8 years moved but im soglad he recommended his nephew. i didnt have to go through the awkward stage of finding some one who does it right.
