I do this every year...and every year I vow to file early... but never do.

oh well.

I finished "early" this year though(just now)....usually I'm filing at 11pm on April 15th.

You out of all people filing at the last minute?

For shame. You're better than that Dirty.

Thanks for the reminder though, because I'm pretty sure my wife didn't file yet. SMH.

Completed the paperwork about 6 weeks ago..........................................just signed and mailed them out tonight.

Man I almost forgot b/c it took d.I.cks sporting goods so long to send my w2. I did em today and it went well. 400 dollars with my name on em

some dude was doing them at work i was liek huh,
he use to be in the military last yr and hes married so he was getting a grip,
i was like dude, why do ppl wait on getting money

The rookies and lightweights think of April 15th as the deadline. Us serious procrastinators are familiar with Form 4868 and know it's really Aug. 15th.

I think my old man holds the record for procastination though.

He claims he never filed my income taxes for 1977 (yes, nineteen-seventy-seven). He said he had a small refund coming, but it wasn't worth the effort, sohe kept putting it off and never got around to filing. He's gotten a few notices from the IRS, but haven't heard from them in about 25 years.

He says he filed every year since then, I wonder how much interest they owe him.

This year I had to pay so I was in no rush... in years past I'd file the same day I got my W2.

If you owe, you have to pay on April 15th, regardless if you file an extension.

Refunds FTL, if its sizeable, you could have all that money throughout your paychecks as opposed to a lump sum.

And finally, if you owe, god damn right I'm filing on the 15th. Floating checks FTW.

Dirt- you're in NJ and probably pay taxes in NY and NJ, safe to assume you need to cut a check?

Lazy..usually I get a NY refund but NJ I have to pay.

this year though.....I got a refund...strange..but hell.. I went over my return..no errors that I know of.

PM me with specifics if you have any questions.

My dad is getting a refund and he's skeptical. Probably going to apply it towards next years returns.

NJ is one of the most tax happy states I know of.

thanks. If I get an audit notification..I'm hitting you up, lol!

NJ is the worst on taxes.. there's a billboard on the TPKE that has a link to a site...sickandtiredofnj.com or something like that...It's for peoplewho want to move to PA and their lower taxes.
