Gave those Black Ices a run indoors today...they're very, very nice

. The only problem I had with them was that they collected dust pretty easily, so you just gotta swipe em more than other shoes. But otherwise, very good overall balling shoe, the Micro G felt really good on the foot.
 
yo are those gilbert arenas joints coming out?
I need some lows, those look so hard!

I had the same experience in the flys. However it the gym I played in was very very dusty and everyone had traction problems. But I had no break in period and went out and balled in them with no pain. No feet soreness the next day either. Awesome shoes, great balance of court feel and cushion.

I've balled in my black ice lows twice now and IMO it's a far superior bball shoe to the micro g lite. The cushioning is on point and the fit is way better. The micro lites have great heel lockdown, but aside from that the fit is not snug at all and leaves me feeling a little unstable under my foot.

The only issues I have with the black ice lows are 1. that while the cushioning is awesome, the shoe does not feel as low to the court as other shoes I've recently balled in (kobe Vs, adizero Rose) and, 2. the traction on dusty courts is sub-par and I consistently need to wipe in order to maintain grip

Has anyone balled outdoors with these shoes yet?

I only have outdoor hard courts and asphalt courts in my area so I need a durable sole. I've already worn away the herringbone pattern on the forefoot area of the soles on my Hyperfuses (I thought they were created specifically for outdoor??).

Seeing how the UA Basketball shoes are equipped with the translucent soles, does that mean they'll be suitable for outdoor ball?

How long did you run outdoors with the 'Fuses before the pattern went away (how many times per week for how long)?

I saw that video too that said they were designed for outdoor durability...smh.

I'm also curious as to how UA models will hold up outdoors- specifically the Black Ices and the Lites.

I've had the Hyperfuses since August '10. Maybe it's normal that I'm experiencing this wear on the sole? But I'm a pretty small guy... only 160lbs. The UA's will be my next choice in ball shoes if I can get some confirmation that they will last on outdoor courts.

Yeah, I'd agree with that...I don't think they would hold up well on outdoor courts just based on how much dust they collect indoors. For an outdoor balling shoe, I wouldn't recommend them.

For their future shoes, UA should definitely make it a #1 priority to make the outsoles more durable. Other than that, the shoes are really nice.

So hows the sizing on these? I fit perfectly into 10.5 Kobe's/Hyperfuses. Any input anyone? Read the review on counterkicks, but they didn't mention anything about the fit.

I'd try on a pair myself but they dont have any near me.

^^^ I wear a 10.5 in all Kobe's and Rose's and the 10.5 in the Black Ice mids fit me perfect.
