although, and this a big i think statement, last time they swept us in a season, we beat them in the post season. i think. my memory might not be true on that, full disclosure

Actually we won that 7 game series iirc as the #1 seed,back in '07-08 and that was with a rookie Price/inexperienced Halak. Price has been almost unbeatable lately

Yup, commentators on tonight's broadcast said press conference scheduled for Wednesday to formally announce his retirement. Didn't know he lives here in the Bay and plans on continuing to raise his kids here.

Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian traded to the Buffalo Sabres

Massive trade just got announced.

Buffalo trades Myers, Stafford, Lemieux, Armia, and a 1st to Winnipeg for Kane and Bogosian

Winnipeg just got a lot better.

My goodness at the haul Winnipeg got :x. Buffalo's really banking on Kane to be their guy,Bogosian's a solid pickup. Hopefully the change in scenery does Kane some good

I was wary of the Canucks giving up Virtanen for Kane.... after seeing what Buffalo gave up Im happy we didn't pursue...

Sabres gave up a lot to bring in EK and Bogosian but with all they gave up they still have some good talent with EK, Sam Reinhart, Zach Bogosian, Tyler Ennis, Girgensons, Cody Hodgson, Ristolainen and whoever they add with this years draft which can be McDavid or Eichel and the future will be bright hopefully....

of course all of this happens as I get ready for a mid-term this afternoon.


I like the trade, it helps us right now gear up for the playoff push and we get some prospects and a pick that can help us in the future. We definitely got more than I thought we would be able to get in any deal that happened either now or during the summer

I'm still disappointed we had to trade Kane, but good luck to him and Bogo in Buffalo

Next team I'm expecting to make a couple trades are the Leafs all to get better in future and hopefully in better position to draft McDavid
