Asics Love?!? Where is it?

The Da Vinci's are cool, but not $200+ cool. Leather is honestly whateva. Suede is ok, but the only other suede shoes I have are the 997NV/GY/PR haha. No comparison whatsoever. I don't know what I could even wear with the Da Vinci's. I really liked the muted colors cause I'm not into the colorful ish and I've never owned any brown shoes (I realize why I never bought any now). I was hoping to get these Da Vinci's since the teaser pics though. I totally understand the hate toward the Da Vincis, the shoe doesn't "pop" and the colorway (not the materials) if released as a GR would have been outshined by most of the other GRs currently available this year.

In regards to the SNS, the nubuck is pretty bad haha. I like the stiffness of the insert cause I don't tie my shoes. For GLV's that have a removable insert (SNSs are glued in), they have more cushion, but it feels like I'm getting no support. Flat feet problems. Females seemed to like the SNSs though so thats a plus.

Gel Galaxy V's today.

Just got shipping from my black market order? Thought it would take a few days since they probably sold a ton of stuff.

sersiously no disrespect to anyone and no shots here, but can we just forget everthing we know and take a step back and look at this shoe. it looks awful. like a pretty terrible shoe. I mean am I tripping????

Im with you on this one. They look nice when photo is over saturated to get the ashy look. Decent normal photos theyre like meh. Maybe because i dont like earth colors but hey i liked the packers.

I keep like 90% of the shoes i buy but this one i tried copping online to flip later or for trade bait. Good thing i wasnt able to get one lol [emoji]128127[/emoji]

Not feeling the splash city glvs either lol

I mean, I wasn't rushing it just added to that great deal that they shipped them so fast. going to keep my eye on that site, thanks again to who shared.

hook me up with a side by side shot of the pair with the suede mudguard when you get a chance?

can anyone tell me how the sizing is on the packer goretex gel lyte Vs??  eyeing a pair but might have to go 1/2 size up.  much appreciated!

There is definitely something different about the DaVinci box that leads me to believe that these initially weren't going to come out. There is a weird ASICS label stuck over the regular asics label on my pair. They are definitely legit, as they also have the Commonwealth price tag, postcard, and sketch book. Anybody else see this weird label too?
This just happens sometime with ASICS, nothing to do with the Cmonwealth release. Some of the labels on the boxes from the Laser Cut pack shoes we received at our store came just like that with the weird label over the normal label. Probably a mis-label originally or something, so ASICS re-labeled it.

I grabbed them when they first dropped. I don't think they are a true GR. Maybe a little more of a limited GR if that exists?

Here are some unfiltered pictures
You're right, they are not GRs. Not a collab but limited to select stores. Anyone needs them for the low hit me up with a DM...@ticmmae

DETAILS

The “Splash City” marks the first collaboration between BAIT and Asics to use the Gel Lyte V, the classic runner that was first introduced in 1993. The shoe’s running heritage draws parallels to the run-and-gun style of basketball seen in the Bay Area throughout the years.

The design features colors inspired by the local team. A familiar blue hue wraps around the toe and heel, and is also used for the gradient wave design on the midsole for added splash. Meanwhile, the black leather formstripe is highlighted with a 3M Sunny Gold tiger-stripe.

The upper is constructed from premium pigskin suede and nubuck overlays that house the Gel Lyte V’s signature neoprene sockliner. The shoe also features BAIT basketball artwork on the insoles and three sets of laces – black rope, black flat, and blue flat.

Sounds like another 'limited' shoe. Asics trying to maximize the hype
