Stringer made some tough choices though. Even Avon admitted Stringer was right about EVERYTHING.

An actor famous for being one of the stars of 'The Wire' was stabbed early Sunday in a Washington, D.C. nightclub, police said.
Anwan Glover, who played street gang member Slim Charles in the HBO drama, was attacked just before 2.00 a.m. in Cafe Asia, on the northwest side of the capitol.
He was first punched before falling and being stabbed in the torso, according to a police report. Glover was treated at a local hospital, his condition is not immediately known.

Glover, 41, told police he was sucker punched by an unknown man, according to the affidavit obtained by the Washington Post.
The actor then turned to face his attacker and was hit in the back of the head by another person, causing him to fall.
Glover recalled being kicked multiple times before someone shouted ‘he has a knife.’
He then claims he felt a sharp pain in his side. The actor was taken to a hospital by ambulance and treated for a laceration to his right side, authorities said.

A separate attack in the club only 20 minutes earlier saw a woman punched in the face, but police told the Post they do not believe the incidents are related.
Glover rose to fame playing hard-nosed Slim Charles in the gritty HBO series ‘The Wire,’ but has also had parts in a number of other television shows including ‘Treme’ and Law and Order: SVU.
The DC native most recently had a role in the Oscar-winning ‘12 Years a Slave.’
Glover was shot 13 times as a youth and his brother died in a 2007 shooting in the city, the Post reported.
The actor’s son was also wounded in a 2011 shooting at a party, according to the paper.
