OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

I expected a bit more for the ending but this seemed more about changing a few things and getting from point a to point b for a few characters.

the mini about Iron Man and Hulk that spun out of this was good

Really agree with this. Personally, I think the plot of Original Sin was pretty average/uninteresting, the art was great though. By the time I hit issue 5-6, I really didn't expect much from the ending, and then it pretty much lived up to those low expectations.

If you're on the fence about spending the $$$, I''d honestly skip out. There a few events that someone could fill you in on real quickly. I wouldn't imagine any moments really sticking around as important except maybe Thor losing his worthiness (happens in Original Sin not Thor GOT, but with no explanation, and female Thor #1 is going to explain anyways)

Hulk/Iron Man mini was dope though :pimp:
A cool retelling of Banner becoming Hulk and Stark's involvement in the experiment. I thought they ended this mini-series really well too.

Nope. No reason to either. Milo been doing his art that way for what's about to be 40 years.

This is just an overreaction and oversensitivity by a group of ppl seeking attention of an "accomplishment". They basically do this to any perceived slight, so they're batting averages aren't what they would be if they went after the right injustices and prejudices.

Cancelled :rolleyes

From what I read they cancelled his future variants, ones that weren't even disputed like his Thor one. Not sure if SW got the axe too but I didn't read the article. Just  after a few lines and moved on.

I guess they only cancelled them due to scheduling problems. Seems like SW is still dropping as well.

Crazy how the current environment has everyone up in arms when he's done some other similar variants for Marvel really recently that went unnoticed.

I think his Inhuman variant was :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: ...and more controversial

Anybody else reading Axis? 1st issue read like the heroes were joking the whole time. Completely unlike Remender's usual dialogue and then in #2 that changed for the better but it suddenly became an Iron Man issue. Seems like a whole lot of moving parts and missing info you'd only get in the tie-ins (I see a lot of ppl wondering why Magneto won't use his full power on metal sentinels and where did all the heroes go).

Worst of all is Kubert is usually a great artist but it's clear as day he's being rushed in this. I seen this once before where he was rushed when he did issues for an Avenger book during Infinty (maybe it was an issue of Infinity can't recall or AvX) and it just looked like the pencils were still raw and stuff was unfinished :smh: but if you look at his Origins 2 work it's top notch.

Hopefully everything improves quick.

I didn't like it much either, but normally I love Soule's writing.

Here's his explanation: http://charlessoule.wordpress.com/2014/10/15/logan-r-i-p/

Didn't really change my opinion, but interesting to see exactly what he was going for.

Anybody else reading Axis?

Yeah, I agree with you on AXIS so far. I think it is gaining some steam, but definitely has a weird and rushed feel to the whole thing so far.

Also, I couldn't tell if you were speaking for yourself or other, but I thought the same exact thing about Magneto in AXIS 1. I happen to be reading Magneto's solo book and the tie-in issue turned out to be a good addition and answered my questions, but without it...eh

Yeah I saw other ppl answer it and I'm reading Magneto's book in trade but before that I knew at least his powers were messed up and he recently took a drug to power up.

But there are questions ppl are asking that you wouldn't know unless you read some of the tie-ins.
