Can't wait to paint mine when they come in. I might give the red portion of the midsole a shot too.

Since its only the swoosh, no kind of medium really needs to be added to the paint. The flyknit that is covered by the swoosh does get a tad more stiff, but not enough to make much of a difference.

Now if one was to paint the tongue or a larger portion of the flyknit upper then some GAC 900 would need to be added to the paint so the flyknit doesnt become too stiff.

you pretty much nailed it in your description.  women only, there were grey, and I think pink and red shoes.  Some people bought them and showed some pictures in this thread.  
 
Here are some pictures of my blue/pink racers.  Pretty uneven distribution, but I like it that way.

i guess they're more of lunar 1s than trainers. but i do find it odd but sweet how they use the midsole from the HTM's and chukkas. too bad i can't find a pair of size 10.5 mens because the grey pair is so nice

Since they were a women's release, I don't think they were ever in sizes larger than an 8 in mens.  
 
I actually don't mind the white Nike logo on the university red's.

Are y'all painting both sides black? I definitely won't recommend for the medial side.
 
if i wasnt scared of messing them up i would get the electric green trainers and paint the swoosh/tongue black.
 
size 10 University Red has shipped from RRS, ordered yesterday and it shipped the same day. excited for my first pair of racers.
