:lol: man, this makes me feel old. I think I rented a suit for mine.

If there's no dress code, I would just utilize your personality. If you're more laid back, I would do a white shirt and some cool/fun tie or bow tie. If you're more of a serious dude, go for a classic navy or gray hue.
 
bought two suits, one navy sharkskin for 193. and a charcoal for 163. dont know which i should keep and which i should return... both are in need of alterations for the jacket and pants but i can get the pants done for free while i need to get the jacket down professionally.. is it worth it to keep one of the suits and get it altered for at most another $100

So the belt I worked on is pretty much finished (all I have to do is get an exacto-knife to cut the excess length) and I think it turned out pretty well for the first time....

Here's a comparison to my belt I got from Gap that cost the same price, even the feel of the full grain one was 100x better and looked nicer w/ the finish:

But honestly this was pretty simple, altogether it cost me ~$36 and a lot of that is because I had to order the products that will be reusable, so when I try it again I'll be reusing the stain, leather punch, etc. again and the total cost will be ~$20/belt which is great for a full grain leather one. Plus, it's cool to get a little hands on and be able to say you made something you're wearing and put work in to create it...I'll definitely be doing it again sometime soon as it's not perfect but I think some of the minor marks give it a lil character :lol: But I'd recommend it for anyone as a side project to do if you don't wanna spend $85+ for a similar quality belt. I think it resembles some of the ones made by Tanner Goods (http://www.tannergoods.com/collections/belts) to a degree, which I'm happy with.
 
Dude, that melt looks good. Awesome addition to you casual wardrobe. I agree that would be a great side hustle. Using colored stains like green, red, etc.

Dudes really sippin' the hater juice something strong, wt f does dude origins have to do with the way he dresses? And even if he were from any of those places, if you've ever been (sure you haven't) They're just as Euro-styled in Accra, Lagos, Cape Town as anywhere in the Americas have ever been..
 
Lyon: If you plan on going forward with this, here's a couple of tips: offer the belts as made to order so you don't have to waste resources, ie don't make tons of belts in advance. Make them as the orders are put in. Look into customizable options such as color choices on the buckles, and engraving. Also, look at making thinner versions for women. It's been several years since I was in an undergrad program but from my time, most students can't shell out $100 for belts. If you can aggressively price yours, I really think it could become a nice side hustle given the trend that a lot of undergrads are upping their wardrobe early now. If you need/want more help/suggestions, just PM me, man.

Thanks guys! Yeah I was actually thinking about trying to maybe start out talking to some of my friends and seeing if they'd be interested in me making one or something....that side hustle idea would be pretty dope for some extra money. I def learned a lot about the process and how to go about it this first time...appreciate the advice though, I may try out making one more for myself while its still summer then look into making other kinds of belts and colors once school starts back up :smokin
 
CDGP sweaters quality is decent, not retail decent but better than Vince which retails for ~$200 (but can be had on sale for a lot cheaper). I think it's a keeper. Got a new snapback too for days that I don't want to deal with styling my hair.

I actually like it, I want to see it in store and try them on first though. I do think the shoe would look better as a derby than wingtips though. They also need to offer more basic colorways instead of all the colorful soles. Black leather w/ white sole, blue suede w/ black sole, cream leather w/ brown sole, etc... are all basic and much more versatile.
 
The Cole Haan bags are scattered at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Some are $100, larger ones are more. I am guessing that is where the ones posted earlier came from.

Anyone know where to cop decent quality slim fit shirts in bulk? Or a place that sells them with a mean discount?
