I was about to say the same thing. This physician, Dr. Mercola, throws around a bunch of words that the general public won't understand or will vaguely understand to try and make a point. He's equating nearly any type of infection with nosocomial infection. He's implying that all adverse drug reactions are avoidable and caused by improper prescribing practices. The article also causes the reader to infer that every occurrence whether harmful or successful is solely the physician's fault. There are numerous players in healthcare but few actually shoulder the liability.
MOST?i said most, not all. theres some good doctors, a lot of bad doctors.
WebMD, bro!so i guess in doing your homework you've interacted with most of the nearly 1million physicians in the US in order to come to that conclusioni said most, not all. theres some good doctors, a lot of bad doctors.
MOST?
Bruh, how do you even say something like that? :x
...and with such confidence too!

WebMD, bro!
living is the #1 cause of death, if you weren't born then how could you die?
In all seriousness...yes. Doctors screw up.
I appreciate the reminder that when it comes down to it and all options are on the table, that doctors do accidentally screw people up.
Now what is the point of posting this article?
To ask doctors to step their game up? or is it to merely say that we should have more of a vested interest in educating ourselves about health?
I'm for the latter. I'm not sure how far you'll get (on NT at least) with the former.
Well...I wasn't going to say it.you know damn well the point was the say doctors are overpaid arrogant screwups that do more harm than good and the healthcare system as a whole in the US in horribleIn all seriousness...yes. Doctors screw up.

You also have to consider that many physicians are handcuffed by insurance companies, Medicare, and other state/county funded healthcare. Many physicians are not allowed to treat in a reasonable nor efficient manner due to the many regulations and lack of options provided by the insurance companies. For example, Insurance A only pays for XYZ. What if drug Q is effective in treating the patient, but the Insurance A does not want to pay because its "Not on Formulary" or "you must try XYZ first because its generic?" What if XYZ lacks efficacy and has increased side effects for the patient? One thing you have to understand is money comes first then its patient care. Otherwise, biologics would be widely available. Healthcare is not a science but an art.
These two posts are very alarming... the medical care industry should not be ran like a businessalso due to liability and lawsuits, MDs often hold back and don't treat patients properly in fear, believe it or not, doctors don't have as much power as you guys may think in a hospital setting....hospitals are a business ran by an administrators who determine what drugs are used, what protocols the doctors must follow, how fast patients are discharged, etc...yes doctors can voice their opinion, but it all comes down to administration.....before you make judgement, keep these things in mind, is not as B&W as it seems.

he gave me CIPRO, I get home and, before taking the drug he prescribed me,, i look it up on askapatient, http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=19537&name=CIPRO
and the reviews for that **** absolutely blew my mind(ESP because i was), well
after searching this pile of **** of a drug... i found that it causes TENDON RUPTURE of all things.
after reading page after page after page of reviews(damn near read all of them), i felt extremely depressed, felt like crying too... i feel like the doctor was sending a subliminal message to telling me to just kill myself.
the reviews from the patients that are in ther mid 20's and lower, really got to me. I searched it on youtube and saw a grown man crying, claiming the drug ruined his life.
