There's no justification for the Yankees giving him 10 years. Especially where we are now with our big contracts.
 
- Will be throwing away all of my Jay-Z CDs momentarily. (Pics coming soon)

- Mad Cano left but it's a lot of money. I think he'll be miserable there but he has money to cheer him up.

- I'm happy we didn't offer over 200 mil.

- Wish we got Ellsbury for less.

- I REALLY want Brandon Phillips. I like this guy a lot. He's no Cano but he's a great replacement.

- PLEASE DO NOT GO GET CHOO. I WOULD RATHER OVERPAY BELTRAN

Congrats to Robbie. I'm glad the Yankees held court and did not over extend themselves for another double digit contract.

I'm sure they have a plan and I'm not blaming them a bit.

Good riddance Cano. Didn't want you at 10 years, and certainly not at $240M.

Can't see the M's having much success with the lineup they currently have supporting Robbie.

They're going to get someone else though. I don't think Cano signs there unless he has assurances. So they'll nab Price or Kemp and either one will put em up there as a second level team.
 
glad that the yankees stuck to not giving him 10 years..... every player who signed a 10 year deal has under performed..... im good with this... i wish cano the best in his career in seattle

I want to say that, but there was a report out this morning that said he wasn't going to give the Yankees the hometown discount.

Way to show some sign of loyalty...

How big is Robinson Cano's $240 million deal with Seattle? Mariners have spent $239.2M in the previous 8 offseasons COMBINED.

Probably the only Yankee fan not salty that he's gone. Anyway, we should really trade something to get Brandon Phillips in return. I know he would perform well as a Yankee.
