I need help. My father is a photographer and I shoot so amateur stuff here and there. Some pics I did at work as a favor got some good attention and now afriend of mine wants to give me a shot. She is gonna let me do all the pics for her website and if that goes well the a shoot with 2 of her models and some ofher products. I am looking to upgrade to a 10MP Digital SLR, my father suggested a Olympus Evolt E-410. I am looking to spend under $500 for a camera for the1st shoot and then she will purchase any equipment for the 2nd shoot including a new camera. What Camera should I but for the 1st shoot? I gotta do good onthis to get to the 2nd shoot. HELP

I'd get a Canon Rebel XTi, has 10 MP and is more than capable of doing what you need to do for this shoot and more down the road. At least if you getthe XTi now have your friend buy you some new lenses for the camera. It's a little more than $500 but if your willing to spend a little more than i'ddo it. I'm sure more people can chime in with some more opinions but that's the way i'd go. Don't know much about Olympus cams so i can'tcomment, but if your dad is a photographer and he recommended it then it must be good.

Hamez3 nice shots. First two would be great for advertisement purposes.
3rd pics is pretty crazy from the looks of it...you could interpret it a couple of
ways either looking down a shaft or looking under a bridge(which is my guess).

Abandoned houses ftw. Its great how you can turn something rundown, ugly looking
left to rot into something beautiful. Theres so much character in abandoned houses.
Again great job on capturing that Patrick.

Peace.

just wanted to do a set of pics about how a city is bigger, in various levels, than the people who live in it...
