Being that the beta leaked a little more than 48 hours ago, many people have downloaded it to see it for themselves. I updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 7 and so far it has been running very smoothly with no flaws. What do you guys think about it, have you found any flaws yet?

So far after 2 days of running it, I've come across some flaws:
  • On Instagram, after scrolling past a picture, if you try scrolling back up the area where the picture should be is grey.
  • On the lock screen when you are playing music sometimes the title and author is illegible.
  • Only on one occasion, after enabling assistive-touch, the lock screen would not slide to go to the passcode screen. But on a second try, with assistive-touch still enabled it worked fine.
  • On Vine, sometimes the audio will load but the video will be frozen. After reloading a few times, or going to another video and going back to the frozen one, it will fully load. I've also noticed more frequently now the Vine app will crash altogether.
  • Sometimes if you have your music on shuffle, it will skip over a lot of songs. While listening to Yeezus (10 songs) only 5 of the songs played before returning to the first song I played.
  • The full slide up bar is sometimes a hassle to slide up, you have to try multiple times and sometimes it interferes with the apps you're running.
  • I don't know if any of you use the Kik messaging app, but that refuses to open, after multiple tries, there is no way to access the app.
  • On Twitter, I'm not sure if this is a problem with the new Twitter app update or iOS 7, but if you click on a tweet to see what it is a response to, it won't show it.
  • This one is big for me, the app I use to hide all of my goods (porn), allows you to put a passcode on an album. With the new update for some reason it won't allow me to enter the passcode, leaving me with no way to view my pictures. I've tried many ways to enter the code but it won't allow me to.
  • Siri will not work, it will allow you to ask but once is understands it will reboot to the apple start up screen.
Some FAQs are:
  • How to get fully close apps? Double tap on the home button and then slide up on whatever page you're trying to close.
  • How is the battery life? I've seen no difference so far, the battery has never been so great, but it still seems decent.
  • When will this update officially be available? iOS 7 will officially be available to iPhones in the Fall.
  • Does the notes app have a tab feature? As of the first beta, unfortunately, not yet.

I have the 5 and the 6.1.4 update pretty mucked killed the battery life. How is it on ios7? From what I hear I'm not impressed

Its laggy at first. The album/ artist info on the lockscreen is unreadable depending on the album cover. Some apps dont work or crash. Music skips while navigating through the phone. Battery life seems the same. I cut the 3D affect off and it runs alot smother. some of the in app menus are off. Bluetooth icon got really big and outside of the top bar for some reason......sometimes apps open slowly. Not a big fan of the new icons. They clash with all the other app icons from my downloaded apps. Now they're probably gonna have to redesign theirs........

But its a cool update. lol

Lots of bugs so far, but too be expected and nothing really too much that will destroy the experience. Having info on the main post such as FAQ and any info on upcoming beta releases would be helpful.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for iPad. I hope they try and differentiate the iPhone and iPad even more. Two apps on screen at a time for better multitasking and Bluetooth mouse support would be great additions to iOS 7.

going back to 6.1.4 as we speak... that iOS 7 crap literally killed my battery like by more than 75% on my iphone 5

It definitely has some bugs but I like it a lot. Very clean, and the colors don't bother me like some. I don't think I could go back to iOS 6. My battery life has been fine. LIke I said just little bugs here and there but nothing major.

This has the potential to be a great thread. I hope OP can can update the first post with good info.
maybe info on how to get the beta ourselves in the OP would help?
Updated, thanks for the advice guys

I wanna update so bad to experience it but I definitely don't want to deal w/ the bugs.. can someone post a tutorial on how to revert back to 6.1.3 once im done "experiencing" the beta? lol

Ended up updating last night despite my post ^

First impression is that its simple, yet complex at the same time. In a nutshell - from someone who has had an iphone since the 3G, iOS 7 is well done and once the bugs get worked out, the release for this is gonna be sick. Hopefully the finalized version will take off the tiny bit of lag i experience with my 4S.

Major bug not listed on OP - Siri isn't working on my 4S (AT&T). It comes up and i hear the beeping sound, but once it actually pops up it goes to the apple logo start up screen and does a really quick "restart" or something along the lines of that.. bummer. i used Siri for directions and stuff.

thanks for answering, that stupid notes app will never have an indent feature. apple has to be really dumb to not realize young writers actually love using their phone to write and having the notes app automatically sync in the cloud and whatever you wrote be loaded onto any device is a dream come true.

some people really prefer this over android??
