Yea Dwight didn't "lead".

Dude was an anchor no doubt, but Shard and Turkeyglue were cookin from 3.
They had the #1 defense in the league with Rashard & Hedo playing big minutes.

And on the other end, the entire roster & offensive strategy was built around Dwight, who led them in points, boards, blocks, FG%, and was 2nd in steals

He got caught juicing

They both did

my hatred for dwight can be well documented in the laker thread months before the season ended.....
i dont think alot of people wanted him back.....paying a player that is a liability in the 4th quarter
20 30 million dollars at the end of his prime until he's 32 42 has set us up for years of failure

*Fixed* Wait you were talking about Kobe right? :smokin

i'd take amar'e's offensive game over dwight (better post moves & mid range jumper)... however, dwight defensively & on the boards would make me take him over amar'e any day.

rashard lewis on seattle with jesus :smokin

Jameer (All-Star that year)/Skip/A. Johnson
Lee/Redick
Hedo/Pietrus
Rashard/Battie/Cook
Dwight/Gortat

They couldn't have put together a more perfect group for Dwight. Snipers everywhere, zero iso players. Let's not act like Dwight just put a team of scrubs on his back. People are spoiled by these Big 3's and **** nowadays and think you need to put a bunch of superstars together to be considered a great team. Hedo and Rashard Lewis were playing out of their minds for a few of those Orlando years.

  myth...check his stats in the postseason

Dwight 's 2009 playoff stats are relatively the same as regular season except he averaged 2 more rebounds(but he also played more minutes)

He had good series vs the Cavs and 76ers but not against the Celtics and Lakers

Exactly. He beasted on Sam Dalembert and Ilgauskas but against KG/Perkins and Bynum/Pau he wasn't the same player.

So basically Tommy dropping statements that hold zero weight?

Pretty standard.

Cavs...were the best team doe, Celtics didn't have KG and Lakers were the Champs

Defensively they were scrubs and Dwight dragged them a top 3 defense that year.
That's not true.

While they weren't a bunch of Bruce Bowen's out there, from top to bottom they were young and athletic putting forth the effort during those playoffs, not on some David Lee steez like "I know I can't play D, some I'm not even going to try, but I'll make up for it on offense"... big difference.

That team was good because Dwight singlehandedly made them elite defensively while playing sub-par defenders like Hedo and Rashard big minutes, which allowed them to get points.

Also he had some huge offensive games, like in the Cavs clincher.

based on what Shard was being paid, no. He was scoring 18 a night on average percentage, while he being paid 20 Million

Hedo was a one hit wonder, sure he had himself a great overall season, but he was no where to be found after that.

Jameer Nelson is arguably the worst player to ever be selected to play to participant in the All Star Game....

that team was good, but it wasn't better than a Healthy Boston or Los Angeles Lakers.
