Christopher Nolans INTERSTELLAR (Nov 7, 2014) - Run Time = 2hrs 49mins

Ya I truly didn't understand how the 1 hour = 7 years. Seemed like inception too much.

Lol that last paragraph was so true and funny

It's called time dilation. Read into it if you're interested, learned about it in my physics class pretty crazy stuff.

As far as this movie goes, I thought it was pretty incredible. Nolan is a mastermind, how high he must have been to come with a plot like this I do not know but I am glad he did lol. Fantastic acting all around, the little girl who played Murph did an outstanding job. Also pretty crazy how Jessica Chastain literally looks that girl grown up.

Ending was a little far-fetched but oh well, it didn't detract from the entire experience from me. Fantastic visuals.

I thought it was really great. Watched it last night to appreciate the cinematography and acting. Plan on watching it again to try to follow the science behind the film.

How did he finally make it out of the black hole?

Seein everyone's review I just want to wait till it hits red box but I know this movie is more about the visuals so I'll suck it up and enjoy Atleast getting lost in the movie as a visual

blackhole ex machina

the best explanation would be that since the future humans that are able to see all 5 dimensions (guys who built the tesseract for matt to talk to his daughter using gravity) were also able to control black holes so they rewarded him for saving the human race by dropping him off in the middle of space in a location that resulted in him being saved by the space station and in a time where he is able to see murph one last time

the actual explanation is probably that nolan didnt want a sad ending where the main character dies

Why would humans need to be saved if we already made it to evolve into higher beings in the first place

this seems to be a problem with a lot of time travel movies

Yea I was just wondering if I had missed something beyond the obvious flaw inherent to time travel. The more I think about the movie the more I like it.

Will see again next weekend on 70 mm imax

what if god/religion stems from the far far future of the human race being able to send messages to the past

^probably should put that in spoilers.

I just assumed it was advanced humans from the future.

Movie was pretty solid. Inception was better.

Movie should have left out some of the far fetched science.

This movie is def better than inception...and you need to see it in the iMax. That's what Nolan intended.
Amazing movie...I can't stop thinking bout it

Damn that cam quality dropped already?

The epicness (and how far fetched the ending was) of this movie reminded me of this:

Man my dudes in the Gurren Team were tossing star systems at each other, interstellar doenst even come close

Why would humans need to be saved if we already made it to evolve into higher beings in the first place
They only evolved because McConaughey sent the instructions back to Murph to save them. It's a never-ending loop. I think .

And  at the iMac comments.

I have mixed reactions about the film. The science was inaccurate, however the visuals and imagery were stunning.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt like this leaving the theater,  it goes without saying this is probably my favorite film since no country for old men. I wept. twas beautiful.

Ending was wayyyyyy too rushed

First scientist to die, should have lived, I enjoyed his acting and character

Amelia didn't go through the black hole, how old
Is she if Cooper at the end of the film is technically 123 years old and he went through the black hole.

Why did he go searchin g for her when I assume that's where the space shuttle is headed to in the first place.

Murphys family isn't Coopers? Lulz

I figured the movie out in the first 10 minutes, I knew cooper was the ghost and just the future him communicating back.

Complaints and all the movie was amazing, visuals, score, acting...characters were dope, Matt was an absolute dummy

And yup, the whole premise of the movie is based on a never ending loop as far as I understand it and a loop has no beginning or end...don't try to understand it, it doesn't make any sense

the time loop aspect of the movie makes perfect sense if the future humans didnt create the wormhole near saturn

like if it was a natural wormhole then it would have made the plot a lot more realistic
