The thread is specifically asking a question How was the early 2000s? Well I answer from my perspective how my early 2000s was and a lot that has to do with early 2000s in my life is Reggaeton. If you don't like it that's your problem. Plus this thread is kind of dead, so by me posting Reggaeton I'm keeping this thread alive and when I do post something of Reggaeton it's always something different cause a lot of good material came out in the early 2000s.

Just walking in this Jewelry Shop, but my purpose for walking in there wasn't for the jewelry. It was for some Graffiti stuff that they had in the back from their ''clandestine'' Graffiti Shop lol. I used to buy some paint markers and some NY Fatcaps... At the time I was feeling like NYC Graffiti legends Cope2 & Seen. Around my way every kid wanted to be a graffiti artist, f'ing up the bathroom walls from the school, the streets etc. The early 2000s were some beautiful times!

tego is like migos, or rakim where his approach to flowing on beats and changed da whole format.
Before Tego, it was tooo much like Spanish rap/Chicano rap which i loathe...and da old Jamaica flow was getting stale.

Tego is a great artist he just was the one who got lucky with making it a little more popular within the latin community. Then when Daddy Yankee came with the ''Gasolina'' song it took off. But trust me before Tego there was real talented artists who also was coming out with some amazing stuff and I mean it sounded advance, the beats everything started in the early 2000s with DJ Blass and Reggaeton Sex that's when the sound of Reggaeton started to evolve, every Reggaeton artist wanted DJ Blass to make them a beat, prime example of that is on Daddy Yankee's El Cangri.com album from 2002 DJ Blass produced a lot of those songs and this was before Tego Calderon's El Abayarde Album that came out in 2003. If I was to write down all the albums and songs DJ Blass produced in the early 2000s Ill never end. Then after DJ Blass came LunyTunes. A few songs that I personally think should of blew up just like ''Gasolina'' did was ''Hagamos El Amor Con La Ropa'' by Speedy and produced by DJ Blass it was Underground Big but it should of been Worlwide Big another one was ''Latigazo'' by Daddy Yankee and produced by DJ Blass, ''Un Sueno'' by Alberto Stylee and produced by DJ Davey and the list goes on. Here's the song ''Un Sueño'' by Alberto Stylee and this was before Tego's El Abayarde album and la ''Gasolina song, this song came out in 2002 on Alberto Stylee's Los Duenos De La Disco album...

DJ blass was Michael Jackson off da wall...u saw it coming, but it wasn't 100% polish, same with DJ Nelson.
Tego and lunytunes was Michael Jackson Thriller.
TBH Barrio Fino was commerically more important, but El abayate gave Barrio Fino da formula to run after Tego knocked da door down.

Luny Tunes might of made Reggaeton more popular, but DJ Blass started it all with those advance sounding beats. DJ Blass is the real Beat God. I know Luny Tunes was influenced by DJ Blass cause who didn't know DJ Blass in the early 2000s everybody wanted Blass to bless them with a beat and another advantage DJ Blass has over Lunytunes. DJ Blass was just one dude Luny Tunes is 2 dudes. That's crazy Blass was and still is a genius producer.

DJ blass's lasting legacy is his drum patterns... masterful.

While were talking about my #1 favorite Reggaeton producer of all time he also produced the hit song ''No Te Veo'' by Jowell & Randy ft. J King & Maximan ,Guelo Star but that didn't come out in the early 2000s more like 2007 lol but I'm just saying the guy is a genius.
