I would love to sit down with Adidas, Nike and Reebok and ask why is it impossible to retro things correctly? Black toe, suede, white on the sole, number 8? I know sometimes it's because they don't have the rights but other than that, why the **** is this done poorly?

As far as the black pair goes, not only are they missing the white on the sole but they are also missing the silver on the tongue....highly disappointing. I think I may still get the purple pair and fix that whole black toe problem.

I'm also really hoping that the picture of the black pair is just the GS version. I think it may be because the shape seems a little off. If that is the case then we can hope that some of the mistakes on the black pair will be fixed on the men's version.

The slight cosmetic differences are not a deal-breaker for me.... I would love the purples (won't get) and I kinda like the lack of white on the all black...

Now the Air Up was not acceptable. They ruined that shoe.

It's much better with the white but oh well, black and purple is still nice. I'll get a pair and see what colorways look good and get those on sale.

My question on these revolves around the sole (of course). I remember reading that adidas butchered the soles on their Feet You Wear retros because they didn't own the rights to the technology (hence no FTW logos etc.). But the Key Trainers had all the logos back. Why can't this be done on basketball retros? It makes no sense to me to change fundamental parts of the shoe.

and the mercury cross trainers came out a while back - probably 6-7 years. no FYW logo, but the sole was correct.

They also butchered the key trainers. Made them super low tops

worse thing is since they made the sole a one piece, i don't think they can add that white on the midsole/sole on that black pair :smh:

Knicks

The Knicks colorway isn't too bad. I just want the blacks though. Hope they can get all the details sorted out...

Pass on those Knicks....

Says the Knicks fan

The black pair Shump is wearing in the barbershop has white on the sole. I wonder what's going on with these?
