NIKE AIR MAG 2015

meh I don't even care if they release them to two penguins in antarctica

I think it's sick that Nike is making a shoe with power laces, air mag or not, in 2015.

“ARE WE GOING TO SEE POWER LACES IN 2015? TO THAT, I SAY YES.”

-Tinker Hatfield

Everyone is just assuming this means Air Mags but it's all too careful. This wasn't a random comment: Nike made a calculated move to bring Tinker out on All Star weekend to say this. I mean, that's not how you talk in conversation; that's a prepared statement. Both the question and the answer carefully avoid ever mentioning the Air Mag which is no accident. It would be an incredible slap in the face to the original auction winners to release a better version of their shoe after repeatedly and explicitly saying the shoe would never rerelease. The signs point towards power laces on a different and/or new shoe.

Either way, that's how you start the hype train.

At the auction/event for the 2011 Air Mags Tinker said we will again in 2015 this time with Power Laces

everybody probably thought he said it just cause of the date of the movie when actuality they was planning it all along

If they release two versions I would love to have both. Both lacing ones for special occasions and lower tier ones for casual use

Would rather have the hoverboard then the mags but I bet they'll both be the price of a used honda civic :rolleyes

All this. I honestly believe this release will be so ugly (fights, robberies, deaths) that Nike may actually change the way they do business. I expect nothing but the worse but I hope this is the shoe that starts the sneaker crash, like the video game crash of the 80s.

fights robberies and deaths have already been eliminated pretty much you ain't seen terminator skynet has taken over and bots rule

I'll treat these like the Yeezy. It's like hitting the lottery. Getting a pair is like winning a few Gs. If not so be it. I'm no reseller but I'm not keeping any shoe I get at retail that could be sold for thousands.

i have been a huge fan of BTTF since I was a youngin here's the thing, are these gonna be available to celebs like the last release or will Nike actually release these to the general public.

I used to watch BTTF every New Years as a tradition with my mum always wanted these since before I knew what they were called

Nike won't change their business model until they are forced to and have no option. The bubble will eventually burst though.

I'm not sure what the tipping point will be, but it will happen. Like the trading cards and comic books before it.

Yeezy's were made to be an affordable alternative to high end sneakers, but nike is too old fashioned.

Simple supply and demand, Nike would rather brand their signature athletes, then invest in a yeezy line.

Air MAGs are a different story, that's an Iconic movie and there are some real die hard BTTF fans.

People who don't even like sneakers will buy MAG's because of what the shoe represents to them.
Yea, that was the original goal for the Yeezy, but Nike gonna Nike.

The sad thing about the Air Mag situation is, you have plenty of hardcore adult BTTF fans as you mentioned who are ignorant to the sneaker "game" and will go into this release thinking it's sweet. You've got people who grew up on those movies who aren't even allowed to own a piece of history.

I'm sure if the harcore BTTF heads knew what they were in for with Nike and their games, they would already have an online petition up to make these a GR.

nikes 1st chance to try a pre order - 250-300 is fine just give everyone a fair chance to by them

take all our money put it in the bank make some interest everyone wins. (exept re seller scum)

if they do the auction style like for the first air mags... they wont lol

shoes go to the highest bidder

i like the idea of a pre order. tell people they can order in advance, as many pairs as they want. make it $500 even. nike gets the pre orders in cash, makes the shoes, ships em out to the people who bought them. literally everyone wins that way. think about it, you gonna complain about the retail price when the last chance to get them, they were like 6 grand and up? hardly. that would be an idea business model. but it will most likely never happen
