Hip-Hop artists interact with their peers and camps as if they were family members when the truth of the matter is, the music industry is simply a glamorous business. When situations deteriorate, artists with enough sense and experience take what they learned and move to their the next facet of the career. Others get crabby and show their *** in the ugliest way possible way. Once considered to be an unbreakable ride-or-die soldier, Tony Yayo finally cracked and voiced his displeasure for 50 Cent's recent string of independent moves. 50's response? Yayo is a millionaire and didn't need to be spoonfed anymore. Tony wasn't the first and definitely won't be the last agitated rapper to deflect from a good situation they have made in the shade. Some rappers got hot early underneath a bigger name and pressed their luck too soon, just to see the career crash and burn like the last minute on an energy drink's clock. Then there were those who were oblivious that their talent or marketability would only take them so far and still weren't comfortable in the cushy shotgun seat they were given. Hip-Hop Wired has rounded up 15 rappers who basically were given three star cuisine and spit it out because it wasn't seasoned how their mother used to make it. Only a handful of these Judas MCs still have substantial careers. As for the rest? God bless. -
J-Hood
The LOX's D-Block label wasn't moving fast enough for the Yonkers knucklehead so he put some pep in his step while dragging his D-Block chain down the street. A struggle tantrum.
Chingy
The St. Louis rapper got hot with Ludacris' DTP organization, accused them of skimming from his bank account and came crawling back a few years later. Ironically (or not), his last album was named Success & Failure.
50 Cent
Don't think Curtis Jackson is exempt from this list just because he's used to calling shots. He barked at Jimmy Iovine numerous times, unafraid of any consequences because of the worth he brought to the label.
Max B...Or Was It Jim Jones?
Real-life frenemies Jim Jones and Max B. fell out shortly after Max B. got hot from the look Jimmy gave him. Who's right, who's wrong? Jones is without the confines of a prison cell so he probably takes the W in this instance.
P.T.A.F.
A girl group from Compton got a record deal only after Nicki Minaj remixed their song and then they had the nerve to publicly state they didn't authorize it. Yeah, it really happened just like that. - See more at: http://hiphopwired.com/2014/03/14/15-rappers-who-bit-the-hand-that-fed-them/6/#sthash.FcoUT6hX.dpuf
Consequence
Kanye West allowed the Cons to bask in his glory and co-write on several of his classic albums. But when his Cons TV LP never aired, the Cons wasted plenty of ink writing diss raps aimed at his ex-homie. For shame.
Illa Ghee
Without any warning one day, Infamous Mobb member Illa Ghee discovered YouTube just to flip Mobb Deep the bird and kick the caliber of raps you see in the video above.
Havoc
Not that Mobb Deep was any better. In 2007, a drunken Havoc instructed Kanye West to switch up his diet to include male reproductive organs. This struggle came after Yeezus served the duo up a beat for their 2004 album Amerikaz Nightmare.
Lil Cease
B.I.G.'s closet homie went from staying in the same house as Lil Kim to testifying against her during her 2005 trial. According to Kim, he wore a Biggie shirt on the stand too. - See more at: http://hiphopwired.com/2014/03/14/15-rappers-who-bit-the-hand-that-fed-them/10/#sthash.zcGxiGnJ.dpuf
Rampage
As a lieutenant in Busta Rhymes' Flipmode Squad, Rampage was unhappy with his position so he screamed mutiny, started Fresh Millionaire Squad (FMS...SMH) and tried to convince all remaining Flipmode members to join his struggle plight. To make matters worse, he's Busta's actual cousin.
Azealia Banks
The Harlem firecracker has sh*tted on Pharrell, her label and even her fellow industry gal pals. And she still doesn't have an album on the shelves. Coincidence or nah?
Jayo Felony
In 2000, Snoop Dogg put Jayo Felony on Tha Eastsidaz's single "Got Beef." A few months later, a diss was hurled Snoop's way. You are now free to scratch your head
Young Buck
After being put on timeout within the G-Unit camp for numerous reasons (excessive spending be a large reason), 50 Cent taught Young Buck an invaluable lesson about conveying personal business over the phone.
2 Pistols
The Florida rapper was handpicked by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League to be their flagship artist but he got too big for his britches and, well you see who's still visible and who's not these days.
Beanie Sigel
The former Roc-A-Fella top dog had his own record label, clothing line, fleet of luxury cars and still told Jay Z he was "gonna step on his neck." There is no greater struggle...
