No it was recent to my knowledge. I mean I watched the game that night, and that's what joe had on, lebron changed at halftime as he's been doing this season but that was the image from a hoops site when I googled that game to get better pics of the shoe. Not saying he didn't wear them previously, just saying he had them on the other night as well.

I don't know how I managed to miss this thread. But a XVI retro is LONG overdue. One of, if not my favorite Jordan model that Jordan didn't ball in. I have the whole OG set except for the Gingers which I still don't like. I would re-up on the navy pair in a heartbeat.
Matter fact, my girl and I just wore XVI's to sneakercon DC this past weekend. I was going to wear the navy joints, but she beat me to it and I hate doing the matchy matchy thing...

not really. The blue tint was almost non existent. These had milky outsoles while the black/reds 16 had icy clear ones. None of them had the blue tint which were in most nike clear outsoles. The air zoom flight 96, foamposite one and aj 11 concord ogs had more blue tint than these.
i still have both aj 16 ogs.

Nah, he's saying that he's seen pics of the sample 16's coming out this year and those have blue tint soles.
He's the one that provided us with a brief glimpse of the "Columbia" blue 11 soles. The pic got taken down fast though...

Look at the date of this article and look at Bron's shoes. Someone on the last page said he switched shoes in the game. But this is not even worthy of a debate, either way he wore them somewhat recently.

I dumbed out HARD on the OG's on these. I should have blk/reds, navy, and cherrywood's in my collection. I will say the cherrywood cw is underrated. I didn't like them at first and they say for a long time, but when they were put on sale they disappeared. I even saw a hybrid of a cherrywood upper with a white/navy outsole. Had two returned pairs at the store at the time. I should have scooped

yes. I remember a photo where ray allen wore the Black/purple 16 PE while MJ wore either the white/college blue 17 or white/university blue 17 lows.

i hope that these do end up releasing, will be my first pair of 16s.
the 16 & 17 are two of the most underrated jordan models style wise imo. both are dope as f*** but neither get much love.
