Giving Tip for Delivery?

if they dont tip 100 times thats like 200 dollars that goes towards a new pair of kicks.

Shhhh......... That makes too much sense lol. Seriously though, heard this over and over, do you tip your doctors? So why the hell do you tip the delivery man?

You dudes buy 200+ sneakers but you cant seem to fork over a few extra bucks for a tip. Amazes me.

You cheap skates, tip well!
lol right?

I'm not giving tip according to the amount spent. I'm giving tip because of the convenience. Trust that if I order something that comes out to 6 bucks i'm giving 10 and not asking for change. The pizza guy always bring my joint fast hot and at times with stuff I didn't even order. The total is 21 and he always leave with 30. I don't understands lazy people that want delivery because is convenience but yet refuse to tip. The same for car wash ... Dudes busting their *** o clean your car but you give then 2 or 3 bucks but your barber gets 5 or more. LoL the struggle I suppose.

they get gift baskets that is worth x amount does that count? this is post surgery and everything went fine. if it didnt they will get that lawyer treatment.

Why do so many non-tippers wear their stinginess as a badge of honor?

You don't tip? Fine. But why act like it's something to be proud of?

Every circle has at least one guy like this and they ALWAYS want to get a heated discussion started about it.

Because the delivery guy is saving you the trip going to the place to get your food. He/she has that as a job, give em a few bucks. You know damn well they arent making the greatest money.

my cut is 20, i throw my guy a 20. 100% tip gets the best service

you know what you have a great point! like i said before i will tip my delivery guy 2-3 bucks just based on GP from before...but at the same time i will have more compassionate towards them since they hand delivered my food to me so i will be more considerate... :smh: at me for tipping less than the minimum

This. Reminds me of atheists. It's like do your thing but **** about it

Real talk, how much are y'all paying for haircuts? My cut is $15 and I just throw the barber the even dub

You tip your barber/hairdresser

You tip your mailman/garbageman during the holidays

You tip you cab drivers

You tip waiters/waitresses

You tip delivery men

These are things your parents should have taught you

Im sure everyone pays $20 for the cuts.

When I get food I'll usually give them the whole 20 if its under 15 as my orders usually are.

I'm always tipping just because. I tip my food servers, delivery dudes/gals, barber, sometimes even other service people. Everytime I go to a restaurant to eat I end up tipped $10 and my meals always are under $15. Feel like I gotta slow that down and stop doing it so much. That $10 adds up
Most people don't understand how much tipping well can actually help you in the long run. I'm a waiter. We all have SHARP memories when it comes to good and bad tippers. If you go to a restaurant often, and you tip bad (under 15% is BAD, and 18-20% is expected), the waiter will remember you. He/she will also tell all other waiters in the restaurant if you tipped bad too, and they will all memorize your face. Next time you come in, don't be surprised with how bad your service is.

Likewise, if you tip well (over 20%), the waiter will tell all the other waiters about it, and the next time you come in, you'll be amazed with the service. If I know a certain guest is a GREAT tipper, I will go above and beyond to make sure every little details exceeds their expectations. If I know a guest is a bad tipper, or if another server lets me know they are, that guest gets THE BARE MINIMUM of service. At the end of the day I average 20-22% tips, so that's just what I expect.

Everywhere I'm a regular, I get amazing service, because they know I'm gonna tip atleast 20%, and most likely more. I often skip the wait if there is one, and/or I get hooked up fat. At my local bar the other night, I had SIX DOUBLE JAMESONS on the rocks, and my girl had 5 grey goose and sodas. My total bill was 15 dollars (yes, just 15), instead of what should have been over 80 easily. So I toss the bartender 40 total which is almost 200% tip. My overall total was still less than half. And so the circle continues.

TLDR: It's worth it to tip well. If you go to a certain bar a LOT...then tip stupid fat. Watch your future bills get smaller, and your drinks and service get exponentially better. It's not rocket science. Tipping well in many cases will actually save you money while getting better service.

I think by "delivery guy"...they meant mail man, unless I misunderstood. I've never thought to tip the mailman.

Now if it's the take out delivery guy, best believe he'll remember if you tip bad, which is why your pizza is always cold. You go straight to the end of the line of stops. The good tippers are getting their food first, and hot. Believe that. All that was needed was 23 dollars instead of 20 on a 20 dollar order to insure good service in the future. Being cheap when it comes to tipping is self defeating. You think you're saving money, but you're just insuring bad service and a lower quality product (cold food) the next time around.

20%

So if I spend $300 i have to tip $50

nah.

$20 is the most i'll tip.

i tip anyone who delivers food, don't go to the barber much cause i got locs but he gets tipped... waiters get tipped as well ... yellow cabs in nyc gets tipped, those cabs that overcharge a flat rate get nothing

I use to work for a company that delivers food in the city, and yall would hate to see what people do to the stuff of people that dont tip...

If you're broke, or hard up for cash i can see why you wouldn't tip.. a dollar goes a long way.... its when you don't get tip from the people who have it thAT makes me shake my head

I BARTEND PART TIME. GRANTED I DO NOT NEED ANY OF THE INCOME FROM IT BC I HAVE A FULL TIME JOB AS A THERAPIST.

IF YOU TIP WELL, THESE ARE DA PERKS:

MY HAND WILL BECOME HEAVY WHEN I POUR FOR U

I WILL PROB BUY U BACK A DRINK

IF IT IS CROWDED, ALL U NEED IS TO MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH ME AND MY RESPONSE WILL BE: SAME ROUND?

YOU BUY A ROUND OF SHOTS FOR YOUR GROUP OF FRIENDS, YOUR SHOT WILL BE ON ME

---

SADLY THE STEREOTYPES ABOUT CERTAIN PPL BEING STINGY TIPPERS ARE SOMETIMES TRUE AT THE PLACE I WORK AT.

MY BAR IS SORTA HOOD (MOST POPULAR DRINKS OFTEN INCLUDE CIROC OR HENNY)

I ONCE HAD A DUDE TIP ME $100 BC I ASKED DA DJ TO PLAY HIS SONG AND SEND HIM A SHOUT OUT.

DUDE WAS ON ONE THAT NIGHT LOL

your math is wrong. its 60. but if you gonna drop 20 on it i bet that you never dropped that much on a meal before.

If you're tipping $20 on a $300 bill, you probably shouldnt be eating out in the first place. That's just wrong....smh.
