Every brand starts some where. I remember not knowing what a Hyundai is to ugh, they suck to they kind of decent.
I realize this is the NIKE KD 7 thread ( and them GG were hot) but competition can only help create fairer prices, innovations, designs, etc.

I don't see how people say 4 is the best but say the 6 is just a piece of rubber? Lol yeah ok. KD moving to UA would be a huge fail. No one wants a cheap shoe. Not even the "poor kids" he'll be marketing to. Everyone loses.

depending on how the rest of the unannounced colorways come out, in my opinion im gonna say the kd7 is the best signature model Nikes put out since the Lebron 9 possibly 8.

^^^Are we talking aesthetically or performance wise? Jordan XX8 and Lebron X were great, performance wise.
Looks wise I like the Kobe 9s more so far....but I'm a sucker for Flyknit. But the KD7 line has been pretty solid so far. I wonder what would happen if he jumps ship? Would the line run until next June? Is he obligated to do promotion? Can he wear other shoes on court?

Would rather have 7 upper with slant strap. 7 is more leaner and sleaker then the 4. 4 is a little too bulky.ps the 4 upper on the 7 sole anyone

The thing that gets me about the KD line is the first few were basically cheap Nikes. Does anyone who likes those early KDs like any other cheap Nike models? I swear the KD logo and affiliation is the only reason people like those. Without it no one would have given them a second look.

im saying tho... its the same as saying people buy the brons because they are brons or kobes because they are kobes. I think 99% of us are guilty of it. marketing at its finest.
if the nike hyperposites were the sig brons, im sure they would sell out at a much higher clip. if the LeBron 12s were the nike generic shoe 2014, im sure that shoe would get absolutely no love.

That's definitely part of the appeal. One reason I'm on the hunt for the kobe 2 is because he wore them in his mvp season.
But the OG hyper fuse are some of my favorite kicks ever. And those extra plain nikes that almost everyone in the nba was wearing like 5 years ago, can't even remember the name. They were just black with a white swoosh, not even sure they came in other colorways

I'm guilty of it too. It's just something I thought of amongst the KD line talk. Someone also posted a pic of all red Nikes over the weekend saying it was a GG takedown model. Had me thinking.

When everyone says the 4 is the best they are talking about aesthetics. You can probably count on 1 hand the number of people on Earth who actually enjoy them for performance/comfort reasons.

I'm probably one of the few that thinks 6 was the best looking of the line. Especially because of the wide array of CWs. 7 has quickly become 2nd. I just need to see more CWs before I can say it trumps 6 or not.

I can see where you're coming from. I personally wasn't a fan of the KD 6 at first at all but ended up with 3 pairs (ASG, Texas, Easter) because I loved the colorways. That's one thing I've liked with the KD line over the past few years, the way they deliver with colorways, that's why I'm so excited about the 7's I like the overall design of the shoe and I know Nike's going to deliver with the colorways KD's because they always do.
