Alcohol dosent cause weight gain

Maybe not directly.. But it certainly leads me to make bad choices in what to eat

This.  Start drinking, get the munchies, eat a ton of crap you would;t have normally.  Next day, hungover? Go get brunch and eat a ton or be lazy and order a pizza or takeout.  It def leads me to unhealthy eating for the next 24-48 hours depending on the amount I'm drinking.  But obviously everyone is different.  The drunk munchies are real man.

I don't know the exact molecular breakdown, but it was in the doc I mentioned.

Diet sodas have sugar substitutes, which are arguably the same/worse than regular sugar.

Watch the doc I mentioned. Fed Up (2014) I can't post the link because it's against the rules but you can google it.

They address these studies and how they are funded by the companies who have interest in the results being positive.


If I ran a billion dollar company, best believe I'd throw a couple mil into some research studies to make my product look good.

Ive watched it, Diet Sodas not exactly "Healthy" But its not going to put on fat. Im living proof. That's all I drink apart from water. That being said, the toxins are probably eating our stomachs up alive but that's a diff subject lol

By your logic, this individual case, which was conducted under strict controls, proves McDonald's food doesn't make you fat. We all know this isn't true though. So stop passing your dumb logic (based on personal experience) off as fact.
 
I didn't say it would make you fat, I said it's no different. The body sees both sweeteners as one and the same.


But I digress, You could be 6'0 180, and still be in horrible shape. In that doc, studies showed 50% of America is overweight/obese.

but he can all maccas if he wants and loose weight, if hes burning more calories then he is intaking then its irrelevant what food he eats.
 
this thread is ******ed off of the simple fact that OP actually leads an active lifestyle as well as being aware of calories consumption in relation to losing and gaining weight.

Had he said he lead a sedentary lifestyle with very little to zero activity throughout the day, ate as he did and drank all that he claims to eat, then I would start questioning whether he even knows the effects of consuming more calories than he burns....

that is true though. mcdonalds food DOES NOT make you fat. an excess of calories makes you fat. if i only ate one big mac and a sundae and large fries once a day and nothing else, would i get fat? no, i wouldn't. i burn about 3000+ cals/day. i'd lose weight eating that. if i exceed that by eating 3500 cals of quinoa and brown rice, i'd still gain weight.

if youre an athlete or have massive muscle mass that's totally normal. Not for me but its not abnormal for ppl to burn that much
This is exactly my point...if it's about calories and you drink 10 beers you are consuming at LEAST 1000 calories.  Add in some za, some sushi, some hot fries, whatever you crave...how do you think alcohol doesn't contribute to weight gain?   The average person doesn't drop 3K calories a day bro
 
not to derail, but WTF is ya'll doing that you burn 3K calories a day? 
wake early, have a 1.5 year old kid, gf works full-time and takes 15 credits at school, do everything from making all the meals to laundry to cleaning etc, work a crazy full-time job myself, lift weights m-f, take my kid to the park, and go to sleep late. up and active from about 6am-1030pm on the weekends - beach, park, family etc.
